Love it!
I have a BIOSTAR x79 TPOWER mobo. And this device worked great with it. It also worked good with the ASROCK mobos I tried it on. I'm using my Intel i7 3820It's pretty big, but it looks pretty cool. It's completely silent, and works well to keep things cool. I wouldn't overclock ever with a fan based cooler, but that's my opinion. I mostly wanted this to keep my regular clocked system to stay really cool.I like the layout, it's A LOT easier to install than other ones, doesn't have stupid snap in screws etc. Everything is of high quality.Overall I would highly recommend this device to gamers that want to spice up their computer. Looks awesome with my Antec 600T White Graphite version.

Effective Cooling Option with Some Compromises.
Good quality unit and the tests have shown that it is efficient, but I ended up going with a Cooler Master option for better RAM clearance. B+ overall.

Great product
Like a few others have said there is a little more effort involved into the installation but it by no means is hard. It is a bit large and bulky but if you have a full-sized case you are good to go. It properly cools and is very quiet. Highly recommend this product.

Works well but
The heat sink is good and the case the fan comes in works well but the screws that hold it on suck. They are screwed into soft rubber grommets on the fan so the fan pops out. Now when you mount it on the heat sink it stays but I modified the fan and brought some better screws, washer and nuts. Now it will not pop out. When / if the fan goes bad I can still easily change it out. If you go with this modification bring the shroud/cover and the fan so that you get the correct parts that not only fit but look good as well.

This thing is a beast!
Does a great job at cooling my i7 Haswell chip. Even rendering video in Final Cut X my CPU never gets over 38 degrees C. I put this in a hackintosh build I did. I never hear the fan running and it has been reliable the past few months its been in use.

Worst CPU Cooler I have ever installed
I'm sure it works fine, probably keeps the CPU plenty cool too with overclocking, but this was without a doubt the most frustrating cooler I have ever had to install. I had to remove my entire motherboard from my case in order to put the required backplate on, the adhesive circles that came with the spacers wouldn't stick (threw those away), and the spacers are so damn frustrating to line up since there is nothing holding them in place that I ended up throwing those away to and just installing it without those. It also sticks out so far that even with my full size case, I had to cut away part of my side fan housing to keep it from butting up against it when I closed the case. If I wasn't in the middle of upgrading my PC and desperately needed an appropriate cooler from my new processor, I would have returned it immediately.

Wow
This thing is huge, but it does the job. Assembly is straight forward but you will need access to the back side of the motherboard. The cooler can be positioned to face in any of 4 directions which worked for me because only one worked for me without hitting something. I'm using a mid-tower case. My i7-2600K reached 82C during benchmark testing on 3DMark-Vantage with the stock Intel cpu cooler but with the Arctic i30 the max temp was 53C. That's a huge difference, and it's also makes less noise! Highly recommend this cooler.

The fan itself is fine and typical for that style
The fan itself is fine and typical for that style. I strongly dislike the motherboard spacers included with this fan. They're plastic and are SUPPOSED to stick to the MB with these little circle stickers that come with the spacers all the while placing the fan and the screws through to the back mounting plate. I've built many systems and never had so much trouble mounting a CPU fan! The spacers should be brass similar to the stand offs used when mounting the MB. I had a socket 1155 MB for this fan. Other fans of this type use a better mounting system.

inmejorable.

Great value, high-performance air cooler
I needed to go air-cooling rather than water due to cost, so chose this baby. I have not been disappointed. The fitting requires a little thought as it blocks one of my RAM slots. I was using 4 slots, so I installed low-profile RAM. I would STRONGLY advise checking the height of RAM if your MoBo has the slots near to the CPU, The other thing to check is the height of cooler that your case can accommodate. I chose the Fractal Design Arc Mini - Black Pearl - and it fitted like a dream, however a narrower case may be a little too snug.My Fractal Design Arc Mini case has _just_ enough clearance between the cooler and the side vent (graphics card side fan) to fit a _LOW PROFILE_ fan should it be needed. So far though, my case and i30 cooler are providing plenty of cooling for my system.Looking at the size of the fan and fins, I was expecting to hear significant turbulence when the system was under load - however, the fan runs almost silently! One final caveat of warning! The amount of thermal paste is only _just_ enough. I (personally) ignored the installation suggestion and spread it _evenly_ over the surface of my i5 chip before mounting the fan assembly. Once bedded in, it had no leakage of thermal goo or other problems, and cools beautifully. If you are uneven in application, then hot spots and spillage may prove problematic. TAKE THE TIME TO SPREAD THE THERMAL GOO CAREFULLY!!!The installation itself was hitch-free - just think out ahead of time the order to install kit - I had to install RAM before fitting this bad boy! However, I would advise getting a good quality motherboard - I used an ASUS MAXIMUS V Gene board (which I wanted for the overclocking features) - a cheaper, more flimsy board may bend under the weight of the cooler - installed, it weighs almost 1KG!Overall, this bad boy is VERY cool, but VERY big. Quality case and planning, and you will be laughing, with cooling performance to challenge the water boys!!
