Are they warm in the winter?

These are comfortable and warmer than most ankle socks, but they are not what I'd consider a winter sock. If you're looking for real warmth, Darn Tough makes some taller, thicker, warmer socks that might be a better solution. Depending on your cold tolerance levels, these are probably good enough in the winter unless you're dealing with more than few inches of snow.

Can anyone comment on how much more "hot" these are than the light or light cushion socks? Thank you.

The light socks are fine for all but cold weather. Better to make a choice depending on how your shoes fit. If your shoes are a tad tight, get the light socks. If they are a tad loose, get the comfort socks. The comfort socks are not hot even for summer weather.

Worth the price
