This BUMPER IS BUILT TO TAKR A 70MPH CRASH! Not that anyone wants this to happen and I certainly didn’t want to crash my favorite truck. However, this bumper withstood the true test and I can say without doubt “BEST BUILD BUMPER ON THE MARKET!”Now to my original review with installation tips.>>General Review & PRODUCT OVERVIEW<<••••PROS••••• Excellent Materials• Seriously great shipping and packing• Built to last• Amazing upgraded look to truck••••CONS••••• No Instructions• Does take multiple people to install *minimum of 2 however 3-4 is much better• No Instructions:::.New Buyer information::::• This isn’t a fast installation• My install crew consisted of 3 people1 ASC mechanic1 engineer1 contractor)• Time to complete removal of all required front end components of truck and installation of new bumper was a total of5 hours.*** Wiring time not included add 1hr depending on your skill set.**I have included Instructions for wiring pods to existing wires and switch at end of my review .• NOTE:There are no instructions for installation, assembly, or wiring. Especially there’s no measurement template provided for how far apart the brackets should be placed on your frame!!! This would have been so helpful and this measurement is essential to install the bumper!***See below for bracket installation information :I am providing it to make your installation faster and easier!>>>>INSTALLATION MEASUREMENTS <<<<<******27 1/2 inches if the correct inside distance between the two mounting brackets to properly install the bumper!Knowing This information will knock off 2 hours minimum off your installation time!!! Without this measurement, you’ll fight installation process for hours!!!• Once beacket measurement was figured out the completion was a breeze! Without the bracket space measurement (27 1/2”) you may think you have the wrong bumper!! So MAKE SURE YOUR MOUNTING BRACKETS HAVE THE CORRECT INSIDE MEASUREMENT OF 27 1/2” BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO HANG THE BUMPER OR IT WILL NOT FIT!>>PRE INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS”• Before installation you will have to remove the headlights, metal front bumper, and the front TOP trim section that is above the metal bumper and underneath the lights.•**Keep the latch bolts and clips! You will need them to reinstall the hood latch!! Note* there is a very small bolt and nut to use for this purpose instead of the OEM CLIP AND BOLT.. USE THE OEM CLIP & BOLT . Use the bolt & clip on the new bumper. to attach the hood latch assembly. It’s much more reliable than the dinky bolt and nut provided with new bumper.• After mounting brackets are in correct place tightening the nut in the frame rail, leaving the upright semi bolt loose. This will be tightened after everything is in place. The loose bolt will also provide you with a slight amount of wiggle room.* A rubber mallet was used for small alignment adjustments.*****I STRONGLY URGE THE USE OFRED LOCTITE ON ALL OF THE BOLTS******••**My application issues.I have removed and replaced the OEM fender flairs with the heftier all-terrain Type fender flares.These will need modifications before reinstalling as would the OEM flares. Nothing a Dremel can’t cut !• After finding the correct bracket space, hanging the bumper on the brackets takes a minimum of two people! A third is helpful when installing bolts and leveling!! I strongly recommend 3 people installation.• once everything was hung and in place, all bolts were dropped with red LocTite and secured to 20lbs torque.• I drove on the roughest road after 24 hours and everything is secure with no loosening of bolts.••WIRING LED PODS••I used the existing fog light wires and attached both pods to each side. This allows them to be on a switch without modifying my dash or running extra wires.• a simple split pigtail was attached to each side for an easy installation of the PODS.Overall I’m extremely happy with this bumper! It is super heavy duty and built to withstand many years of use. If you don’t want to put a winch on it you can’t get a winch cover online or at Harbor freight. They cost about $35 bucks.I would recommend this bumper to anyone looking to upgrade to look at their truck as well as get a lot of bang for your buck. This is a serious bumper and I have already gotten compliments on it.

The finished bumper looks good both before install and especially when mounted on truck. Issue was that we had to attempt multiple times to get bumper positioned. Finally, removed bumper brackets from bumper and attached to frame (after a small cut-out was made to frame) then the bumper bolted up nicely to brackets. (All researched instructions demonstrated the complete build first, and then then mounting on the truck.

The install took about 3.5 hours with 2 people. This bumper is pretty heavy weight wise. The install was not bad and pretty simple to do including splicing in the LED fog lights. The fog lights are pretty bright and work well.The con is the shipping and packing of this item. We live in Florida and the spots where it was chipped a little bit are already rusting. It is just surface rust so I will pick up a can of bed liner and touch it up.This bumper even fit after the last bumper was bent due to being in an accident. Had to use a few washers to make it level, but it wasn’t bad.

I have a 2008 f150 I decided to purchase this because I thought it would make my truck look better when I received the item and chips and scratches all over the welds on it were terrible and it didn’t fit right at all poor quality for a bumper if I was you I would not purchase this item I wish I didn’t but I paid to get it installed so I’m stuck with it because I need a bumper to get my truck pack on the road

Very heavy duty and well made, I will say install is pretty difficult due to how heavy the bumper is 2-3 man jobIf you watch on YouTube “DV8 04-08 f150 bumper install” it’s as simple as can be. What I noticed is mounting brackets on this on need to be flipped from what’s on the video but overall very great deal for off-road bumperSticks out 10” from grille. Very big. The LEDs are super bright!
