SHIMANO PD-M424 // SPD Pedal

These are my third pair of Shimano pedals as I've swapped the pedals supplied on other bikes I own for these. Not had any problems and they all still work even after hitting a few branches and rocks going off road. Few dents in the plastic but still in good condition.

So easy to use, clip in instinctively, secure use, clip out no effort-outstanding. But why double-sided so you can’t ride one side with normal boots and the other with clips? Limits the bike to use with only clip shoes...hopeless if you want to nip to pub or shops in normal shoes! Buy another single sided pedal unless specifically for 100% clip-shoe riding...if a dedicated bike/shoes these work really well.

These are so heavy. Will keep them for emergency but wouldn't use on a regular basis.

My son has used these for years for racing...very forgiving as resin plastic....he swears by them
