Quality product, but make sure you pay attention to installation details (see review below)
High quality product. I used it to replace the gasket in my 1988 American Products spa light. I hadn't replaced that gasket since it was installed thirty-seven years ago.I used silicone O-ring lubricant. This doesn't do anything to make it seal better, but it does allow the gasket to more easily move around as you tighten the lens fitting. As a result, it seats properly into the groove in the light fixture and the groove in the bracket. No part of the gasket gets pinched. This is key to getting a good seal.I also used a Dremel tool wire brush to clean out all debris from the channels. I have seen some reviews which talk about leaking and I wonder if they cleaned out the grooves and whether they used silicone lubricant.I also was very careful to tighten the screws as I would do for lug nuts on a tire, tightening only a little at a time, and alternating from one side of the fixture to the other, in a pattern that ensured that one side didn't get tighter than the other.I put the fixture in a large bucket for a few days, prior to re-installing into the wet niche and before re-filling the hot tub, just in case I screwed up somehow and didn't get a good seal.

great replacement gasket for pool lights
Excellent gasket for pool lights. Seals tight with no leaks. Be sure to clean the lens completely and sand the light receptacle clean where the gasket seals. High quality gasket.

Additional Instructions for Installing Pool Light Gaskets
I will start by saying that I initiated a return due to the lights leaking water again! But before returning, I gave it another shot. I has now been 2 weeks and the lights have not had a recurring leak.I disassembled the lights (again) rinsed the circuit boards with Alcohol, then placed them in the oven overnight at 100 deg F. The next day I reassembled the lights *** using silicon grease on the gasket lens groove and both contact surfaces*** I completed the reassembly ***torquing the band screws all the way to the non-threaded portion of the screw*** I was concerned that I might overstress the band, but reading the Pentair overhaul instructions, it said to tighten to band to within 3/8 inch...(about the length of the non-threaded portion of the screw.)The gaskets seem very well made, and all of the others seemed very similar, so I gave it another try with the changes noted by the *** above, and I have pool lights again!

These Seals Do the Job and Supply the Screws
After buying an LED replacement for an incandescent pool light that lasted 24 years, I took the warning about replacing the seal on the light. In comparing other offerings, I noticed this came with stainless steel screws. Best decision I made as the old screw was copper (who puts copper screws in something that will be underwater in chlorine water?) and I managed to strip it because it was so tight when the builder installed it. Had to half-drain the pool and use the ole Grab Bit to get it out.Once I was able to work on the housing, these seals fit perfectly and the compression ring tightened everything down nicely around the lens to make sure there was zero water leakage. The stainless steel screw fit perfectly to snug the light housing against the wall of the pool.I only needed one seal, but... if I have to replace the LED light in the next 10 years, now I have another seal AND the screw to got with it. Great product!

Doesn’t fit.
It’s listed as 8 3/8 of an inch. The one that I received is 8 7/8. It was too bulky so it buckled up.
