These were heavier than I expected. They are quality and seem to be stable bookends. I like that they are fun for a child, teenager and even adults.

I love how heavy/sturdy these are. They also are fun as a book end and the stainless steel is very good quality. I highly recommend these. I had zero issues with mine and they hold up a LOT of books with ease.

Every time I notice these bookends that are holding books upright and straight in my bookcase, I smile. They're just cute! And they don't slip or move at all once in place. A little pricey, but will be ordering more.

These bookends look great on the shelf. The bookends are heavy and the finish on the figures is uniform and well done. There are two things to consider, however when buying these bookends.The first is that the contact between the end book and the bookend occurs at the point where the hand or hands of the figure connect with the book. This is a small area and if there is pressure between the book and the hands of the figure which would be the case if the book is leaning on the bookend or if the bookend is pushed tightly against the book, I worry that the hands will leave an impression on the book. Probably not a big deal in most cases, but if it is a special book, you may want to put something between the bookend and the book.The other issue is that the part of the bookend that goes under the book has thick padding under it which is great. However, that means that the books that sit on the bookend do not sit flat on the shelf. The center of the book is only sitting on the bookend and the rest of the book is above the shelf. Again, this may not be a big deal for most books. But, if it is a special book, you may want to avoid having it sit on the bookend like this.So overall, visually the bookend is great. But, be mindful of how it is in contact with your books if you are worried about possibly damaging your books.

At first I had trouble using it; it kept on sliding all the books. I was almost going to return it. I know there has been many 5-star reviews for this item. I could not understand what I was doing. I was going to give it a 1-star. But after looking at some of the reviews, I decided to give it another try before I returned it. After some trial and error, I found out that you can't place them in a line; you have to place them one next to the other. When I did this it held up the books. Real cool. I am glad I did not return it.

I love the look, idea and the stability of the product. They hold my books but will be better for smaller paperback books.
