booheads - Bamboo Electric Toothbrush Heads | Biodegradable Eco-Friendly Sustainable Recyclable | Compatible with Sonicare

I have been so so pleased with these replacement heads. I bought a Philips Sonicare toothbrush about 6 months ago and have been really disappointed in the brush head - I find it much too small and soft - so I was not keen to keep replacing it with the super-expensive plastic brush-heads. These are absolutely brilliant. The head is not massively bigger than the Sonicare, so if you don't have a big mouth (like me!), don't worry, but I feel like I get a better clean from these than from the 'proper' heads, and the fact they are a fraction of the price AND recyclable/biodegradable, well... it's just a no-brainer! I will definitely be buying these again!

I was very pleased to find this product and brand. I fully support innovative ways like this to reduce waste. It means I can continue using my electric toothbrush whilst being more sustainable. The packaging is great, no plastic in sight. They seem well made and a great shape. My only criticism is that they don't fit my toothbrush as well as they should. They go on and work when I turn the toothbrush on, but there is a gap between them meaning that it's not a very secure fit. I hope this can be improved upon in the design of the product.

A great idea but needs refining. The brush is difficult to remove from the head of the toothbrush and after a few occasions, the plastic insert came away from the inside of the bamboo. This proved difficult to remove from the toothbrush head and the brush could no longer be used once it had been removed. My toothbrush also failed to work after this and I suspect removing the plastic insert broke the operating part of the toothbrush. Also, the bamboo doesn't slide around the inside of the mouth like the Philip's one, so takes some getting used to. I liked the idea and wanted it to work, but it doesn't as things stand.

Bamboo replacement heads for electric toothbrushes are a great idea, and I assume much better for the environment. As an added bonus they are much cheaper than the genuine Philips plastic ones. The quality of the product is great and they are well made and colourful. However, I do have issue with their fit. They push onto the toothbrush, but not all the way like a genuine part. There’s a gap at the bottom. They also don’t click into place meaning that at least once each time I brush it will come off and have to be reattached. It’s not a show stopper for sure, but there’s room for improvement.

Excellent toothbrush head!Have to be honest and admit I dont change my old plastic heads often. Constantly felt guilt throwing away my waste, that ended up on land fills.This is a step in the right direction which everyone reading this review should do -"Be kind to the earth and invest in biodegradable products".Hope an Oral B version comes out soon for my Wife, will certainly surprise her with BooHeads in the future.

I really wanted to like this product as there is a definite need for a more sustainable alternative to replaceable plastic heads.The positive - plastic free packaging and bamboo heads although there’s some non sustainable materials such as the plastic core and nylon bristles.The negatives - the toothbrush is the size of a regular manual toothbrush head as opposed to the smaller round electric toothbrush heads. When vibrating in your mouth it feels very invasive and smashes into your gums and teeth. The head doesn’t fit over my oral b electric toothbrush so I have to brush my teeth with my thumb on the head to avoid it falling off and then stabbing myself in the mouth with the spinning metal core. The bristles shed after a few brushes and I spend two minutes after every brush picking them out of my teeth. All in all, not a great experience with this product.

Love the concept, design and packaging.The medium bristles I've found to be perfectly adequate and comfortable for daily brushing.Differentiating each brush head without a plastic ring is a great idea.They may be small but they represent another little step in the greening of the planet...........I love them.............

It is a good alternative option. The only downside - it does sometimes detach mid brushing. I am sure it is difficult to replicate the fit of the plastic head and I am going to continue using this product, as it is more eco friendly and the bristles seem better quality than the original.
