Sandalwood - Song of India Perfume Oil

Sandalwood is my favorite scent and I can recognize it immediately. I read the mixed reviews before purchasing this but I figured for the price I can afford to give it a go. I was very hopeful when it arrived because the little bottle looks like something you would pick up at a market in India. I dabbed some on me and disliked it immediately. It is undoubtably the real deal, oil is potent and it lingered all day. I hoped in time the sandalwood scent would emerge but unfortunately it smelled like a cheap incense stick all day. When my husband returned home from work I jokingly put some on him teasing him it smells just like the overpowering Oudh he wore when we first started dating and I hated. To my surprise it smelled amazing on him immediately. He now wears it daily and as soon as he puts it on the house is filled with the loveliest sandalwood aroma. It is divine!I know that perfumes react differently as people wear them. This is the most incredible difference I have ever experienced and I wanted to write a review to tell everyone not to read the reviews when it comes to fragrances. What might work for me will not work for you. When there is chemistry involved there are no guarantees. And for this price I say give it a go. I hope your skin reacts to it like my husband's. Because this truly is a wonderful sandalwood oil!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS OIL!!!!! It is tiny but believe me you only need a drop or two at a time!! I've come back for 3 more!!! The smell is amazing! Not feminine but not masculine, it's the perfect perfect blend that can also mix with so many other things (not that I really want to, it's perfect on its own!!) I love this little oil better than all of my expensive Prada, Chanel, Sage Machado etc. put together. I hope they never stop making it!!

First - great price and super fast delivery. Understand, though, that this is a teeny tiny bottle of potent perfume oil. I'm not having any problem getting it out of the bottle since you really don't want a whole big bunch at once. I'm a bit disappointed with the aroma - I'm looking for something that will actually smell like my sandalwood boxes from India or like the sandalwood soap that I love . . . But I'm having a hard time finding a satsfactory oil. This oil has a very sweet layer -- I was hoping my husband would share it with me but to us it definitely has a feminine suggestion. The price of these Song of India oils from this seller is very good, so one can easily experiment - and I definitely will.

I love every scented perfume oil that I've purchased from "Song of India" some of them seem to be difficult to keep in stock because they sell so fast.

As the other reviewer noted, the bottle is super small. One drop is all that is needed to scent my wrists and behind both ears This bottle feels like it's going to last me a very long time. It is sweet, but I'm not disappointed. Scents naturally deepen and take on a musky scent with my body chemistry and it's hard to find a perfume that's not super girly, but doesn't leave me smelling like a man. This oil accomplishes that.

It was ok. It is very scenty. It just had a wee bit of an odd smell. Something that did not remind me of the sandalwood scents I had before. Therefore I use it very sparingly. As they said in other reviews, it is a teeny tiny bottle. Yet, it's still a truck load of scent!

This, like many reviewers have mentioned, is a very small bottle, smaller than your typical bottle of white-out. However a drop does last a long time and I really like the scent.

Song of India's Sandlewood is the best oil I've bought in a long time. I wish the bottle was better made and the cap doesn't screw on right , a roll on or different bottle would make it perfect but that said this Sandlewood is not overbearing and lasts a long time. Remind's me when I was little in the 70's. 5 stars for the aroma and no stars for the bottle!

This is my most favorite perfume in the world. The scent lingers for a very long time. I get compliments on it frequently.
