I haven't worn the hat yet, so this review is based on first impressions. I bought it to wear with a kilt at a Celtic event that won't take place until June, but I'll likely wear it during golf before that if I have anything that it matches (I bought the red hat, and I don't normally wear much red). No, it isn't what one might think to wear with a kilt, but this event requires a hat for decent sun protection, and the typical Scottish hat doesn't offer much of that.First, the fit is excellent. I measured my head at a 22" circumference, and the 7 1/4 fits very comfortably without feeling like it's either too tight or too loose. Second, styling is very nice. I like the smaller brim, and the brim is such that it can be bent up in a variety of configurations, so it has some versatility in what look you want. And third, it feels very light, and should work nicely on a hot summer day.The only negative, if you can consider it that, is that there is no strap, so it might not stay put on a windy day. But I'm guessing that can be resolved if one is determined enough.

So excited to receive this today. I am "retiring" my hat from 2001This is the weight and material I was hoping for -which is not flimsy and not heavy. Sizing was perfect -Snug but not tight

It's a very thin packable polyester hat that runs on the small size compared to my other 7 3/4 (2XL) size hats, but it still fits. The brim isn't as droopy as other bucket style hats and can be shaped up, down or straight similar to a fedora, which I like. Though, I took one star off because of the thinness, but maybe you'll like that. It's easy to fold up flat to pack in a bag.

I can always find another girlfriend, but a good hat is hard to find. My dermatologist told me to wear a hat in the hot California sun. I needed something other than a baseball style hat that only had a bill to provide partial sun protection, so I found this ugly thing. It provides a lightweight and comfortable fit with 360º protection. That is my forehead, ears, back of neck and face get sun protection and that is the purpost of this great hat. It is rollable and I can stick it in my back pocket and then unroll it and put it right back on my head. I like it too as it is a good fishing hat. I hope my girlfriend can grow to love this hat because it isn't going anywhere but on my head.

I bought this for my husband to wear on the golf course . Its purpose is to cover and protect his ears from the sun. It fits well and provides the protection he needs.

Finally found the bucket hat I wanted in a variety of colors. Runs a little large, but not enough to bother exchanging. Bonus: turn the brim up and wear it like a dixie cup.
