KRE-O Transformers Destruction Site Devastator Set (36951)

I mostly bought this set to have different pieces for use with building Lego models. From that standpoint, I'm very satisfied with the product. They seem to be quite interchangeable with Lego. Only a couple bricks didn't stay together well, so the quality control isn't quite up to Lego standards. It's still not bad. The finished models weren't kid tested, so I cannot comment on how well they hold up to extended playing on the floor.In spite of the name Transformers, they don't transform from vehicles to robots. That wasn't an issue for me. The box does say that the product will build four robots OR four vehicles OR the large Devastator model.There is one problem with the large Devastator model. The weight of the figure is a bit too great for the rubber ball joints that provide articulation for posing the model. Other than standing up straight, the weight of the model is going to bend the legs and topple the model. The pose on the box isn't possible. The rubber ball joints will probably get worse and looser with time. They provide a greater degree of articulation, but will not be able to hold a pose if there is too much weight on them. This was not an issue with the smaller robots because they are lighter.

This is a big set with a lot of pieces with a Transformers construction vehicle theme. It has 560 pieces and 6 figures. It can be used to make four vehicles or four robots. The other cool thing is that all the pieces can be used together to build one giant robot. The large number of pieces and figures offers a lot of playability. Not quite as good quality as you would get from LEGOS, but not bad for the much lower price. Overall, the Amazon price was very reasonable compared to our local stores. We purchased this set for our 10 year old nephew who loves Transformers and he was thrilled to receive it for his birthday. He couldn't wait to open it up.

My son loves the older transformers and of course they are hard to find or are outrageously priced. Hes had his heart set on a devastator figure and I've been scouring the internet for anything affordable. When I saw this on Amazon I thought maybe it would satisfy him. It's a great set and all the pieces were there. The only complaint is the bags are not numbered and its hard to tell which bag is for what character.I would recomend for any transformer or lego enthusiast.

My son fell in love with this Kreo set, purchased it through Amazon for half the price of a retail store. The individual vehicles are fun and unique with their own actions, as well as the robots they each form. The difficult process is building Devastator, it will take some time and some of the pieces will pop off while you are building it. It looks great when its complete, just don't expect it to stay together if your child likes to play with it.

For the most part, the set is nice. The kids love it. My only gripe is that the set we got was short 1 piece, so we couldn't build everything.

As I said in my first review about this product I think it was well worth the purchase. It made my grandson very happy and that made me very happy. Amazon has decided not to show my original review and assumed my review was phony some how. I recent that very much. Amazon threaten to block me from further reviews which would make me very happy not to be bothered. I won't forget this amazon.

My 6 year old loves this. He needed help the first few times but can now build and transform without help. Great building toy.
