Nice practice Peavey.
I really like this amp, quite loud in my jam shed and the clean channel is great. The lead is okay but I prefer using my own distortion pedal over the amps distorted lead channel. Would of given it five stars except for one issue. I bought the amp Like new - Used and the description said it was in perfect working condition with no cosmetic defects as well. However, when I received the amp the speaker was dismounted from the housing and just hanging by the wire, all the screws were still in there but I had to drill new holes for each. It may have been damaged in shipping or just advertised wrong. I'm not sure. I would of given it less stars, but I emailed Amazon about the issue and I was very happy with their prompt and courteous response. Amazon took care of me in this instance with little to no hassle. So it got five instead. Other than that though the amp is pretty solid and much louder than I was expecting.

Best Little Amp For the Money
This Amp is unbeatable. The 1x8 speaker is better sounding them any of the 10 inch speaker combos out there. Peavey is the Best .

Great amp as expected.
Great sound and enough power for small bands. I feed it into my old Back Stage Peavey amp and that makes plenty of noise. Also allows me to split my Boss digital stereo delay into the 2 amps, making a great stereo guitar sound (remember the RUSH band? They did the same technique live). Lots of sound options. I have used Peavey amp products since 1976. Always great quality at a great price (had a Peavey bass guitar, $400 in 1989, was awesome).

a good, straightforward amp that will reflect your playing.
I got this amp on a flash sale. Normally, I'm a tube amp kinda guy, but I don't begrudge solid state amps. Now, for being solid state, this puppy is LOUD. My tube driven Laney Cub, which has a 10" speaker, is quieter than this amp. If you're looking to gig, that's a good thing. If you're looking to play in a small bedroom without getting yelled at to turn it down, it's not good.Moving on to tone. The clean channel, to my ears and tastes, is too flat and bland. It's not the most unpleasant clean sound I've heard, but it's lacking in terms of tone. It livens up a bit when you crank the amp, but meh, I don't care for it myself. The Overdrive channel, in my opinion, is where this amp shines. Peavey's Transtube tech is at least ALMOST as good, if not as good as they claim. The compression, the tone, the dynamics, it's all there. It gives you a wide range of tone options without feeling overwhelming. That, at this price, is awesome to me. It doesn't have DSP (Digital Signal Processing) tone or effects. So it's not as colorful as a digital modelling amp, and it doesn't have virtual stompboxes. But I personally feel the tone makes up for it. This is a straightforward amp that's gonna sound as good as the person playing through it.This amp has been produced for years, and hasn't changed much. I expect years of reliable service from mine. I would definitely recommend this to beginner/early intermediate guitarists that can crank it and let it breathe. Again, it's not fancy, but if you make this amp sound good, that means you're playing good.

Good amp for the money.
This is a great amp at this price point. Transtube strikes again! Fascinating, the kind of tone this one delivers, especially at the price point, and with a smallish speaker. Just, straight from a guitar, no pedals, into the drive channel on this... Fascinating. The breakup is inspiring. ymmv

Great acoustic for the room and this amp make me ...
I needed an small amp for playing the guitar at my church. This small amp fills the church hall. Great acoustic for the room and this amp make me sound better. There is a slight buzz that does come out. You can muzzle it pretty well by making some changes in the aetting on the amp equalizer then make a few changes to the guitar knobs. Im happy with the product and would recommend it to others.

bought it for my nephew and he loves it
this was a bday gift for my 23 year old nephew who has an acoustic guitar. He loves it! It's easy and it's a Peavey. I had a P-V amp when I was in my rockin days and I loved it. For the price and wattage, I thought it was a decent deal. Arrived on time and really is a cool little fun starter amp! It put a smile on my nephews face and he is really enjoying amplifying his guitar skills.

I love this amp
I love this amp! The clean sounds great, and the lead is really good. The distortion does not sound fake. It's awesome to have pre-gain/post-gain settings on such a cheap amp. To top it off, there are three amp settings: stack, modern, vintage.
