This is not peel and stick, but it is excellent.
The item description is wrong, this is not peel-and-stick. It is PSA, pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is slightly tacky and easy to work with, then apply pressure to set the adhesive. So far, no failures. Vaneer grain quality was excellent and similar to the picture. Very pretty product and very easy to use. Shame about the poor item description.

Perfect veneer, couldn't be anything better to work with.
This is such a great looking, beautiful veneer. Easy to use, I put it on a vintage speaker pair (AR4xz) and left the original vinyl covering on. The adhesion is superb and the look is fantastic. I used a clear acrylic to preserve the natural (light) color of the walnut rather than darken it with typical varnishes or other applications; the results are superb.

Bad adhesive
The veneer peeled up from the backer after application and we have to redo the project after sanding the adhesive off the surface, not the veneer. Wood was beautiful but worthless due to the poor adhesive.

Great upgrade.
This material works great, I was skeptical about how strong the adhesive was but once it goes on it’s not coming off. It’s thickness sands, stains and seals very well. Easy to cut and apply. I built a floating tv cabinet using low cost materials and this veneer made it appear way more expensive than it was to build.

Consistently Reliable Walnut Veneer – Perfect for Furniture Projects and DIY Enthusiasts
I’ve ordered this Edge Supply walnut veneer sheet six times over the past two years, and it consistently meets my expectations for quality and ease of use. While natural wood grain can vary between sheets, the overall quality has always been reliable. The sheets are slightly oversized, ensuring a full 24"x96" workable area, which I find helpful for precise projects. The 3M peel-and-stick adhesive holds extremely well, but it’s essential to approach the application carefully as it’s not repositionable. My tips for smooth application: unbox and flatten the sheet under weight for a day or two, cut slightly larger than your target size, and consider a helper for larger pieces. I encountered a minor adhesive issue on one sheet where a small section lifted with the backer paper, but it was isolated and didn’t impact my project. However, this could be something to watch if every inch of material is needed.I’ve tried similar products from other suppliers, but Edge Supply’s veneer stands out for its quality. This veneer is ideal for furniture restoration and updates, and beginners can achieve excellent results by researching application techniques first. Overall, it’s a great, reliable choice.

Real wood veneer. Thick enough to finish sand.
Nice veneer with good adhesion. Stains beautifully.

Good quality wood veneer
This stuff is great. Used it to renew the cabinetry in a campervan conversion. It's so thick that it hides any blemishes (like raised screwholes, etc.) in the surface it's adhered to. It took "dark walnut" colored Danish oil beautifully, and was finished with a coat of beeswax. I started with one roll and ended up ordering many more. My only grip is that the adhesive doesn't extend all the way down to the cut edge (which is exactly where it's needed the most). There is a centimeter or two strip along the edge without adhesive.

First Veneer Project Simplified
Pros- good wood quality. Prepped project substrate with three coats sanded polyurethane that provided smooth surface for excellent adhesion of 3M PSA. Veneer cut easily with box cutter/heavy scissors leaving very clean edge. Veneer flexed nicely in vacuum press to adhere to waterfall edge and curves.Cons- eighth of an inch gap between edge of veneer and adhesive in some spots. Probably would have been okay without, but added bead of glue anyhow.CAUTION- you basically get one shot at getting placement right once you remove the PSA backing. The PSA adheres instantly so ensure you’ve got your veneer cut and placement right BEFORE you peel.Excellent product that I’ve already purchased again for next restoration. It’s a little pricey, but I didn’t want to mess with glue required for less expensive non-PSA veneers- anything to reduce the number of variables for my first veneer project. Very pleased.
