I was a little reluctant to order these due to reports from others about open bags that had lost grains or had them strewn about the shipping box. But unlike those earlier reviews, my bag arrived intact with no issues. The company claims to have fixed the issue by "double sealing" the bags. The grain is quite clean and works great for growing mycelia in jars. It also tastes great and would probably be wonderful for baking.

I grind the rye to make bread. This product is great tasting and has a reasonable price. I will reorder when I eventually run out.

Very good rye grain. I grind it with grinder attachment and make delicious and healthy whole grain sourdough rye bread.Also, I tried to sprout these rye berries and they sprouted very quickly.

Second I got it I put it on the scale. Read 9.6 pounds. So is it a big deal? No but it’s advertised as 10 pounds and it’s something to keep in mind.

Man, first time growing mushrooms though I would buy this to make my own grain spawn. Worked out great. Washed them first, then build them for about 10 minutes. Dumb them in a colander to dry for about 45 minutes. Put them in jars to steam sterilize for 2 hours. Stored it for about a week be for inoculation. Working out great.

Description says it is double sealed - which is why I was willing to spend $30. I’m supposed to be using these for cultures and needed to know it would not be contaminated. I cant use this! Money wasted. This arrived ripped open and there’s no way to ask for a replacement. Very disappointed!

Iii used the rye berry for mycelium cultures. Before I sterilized the grain, I rinsed the product. I was surprised at how well the grain was harvested as well as its cleanliness. Absolutely healthy and happy grain. Will buy again
