Great for learning how to taste
Tasting is skill that needs to be developed and practiced. This book helps you think about tasting differently and is a good wingman during a tasting session.

read and reread
Even if already well out of date. He was a master of whisky. This has a well of information, and encouragement to try a wee dram, and another different one.

Very Informative
Brief introductions to virtually every distillery you've ever heard of. Offers basic info on water sources, distillery equipment and processes, sources of ingredients, and so on. More than just a reference or technical volume, you also get a concise history of each producer, (including chain of ownership/management), a winking review of their marketing baloney, and perceptive analyses of their various house styles. A very satisfactory and entertaining volume.

The cover is a little bit dirty
The content is fine, though I am not a expert of whisky so can not really comment lot about it.But the book that been delivered is kind of old and dirty, and may even say a little bit shabby.
