I have a short-haired cat who, for some reason, has become extremely matted. She suffers from hyperthyroidism so that may be the cause but she was looking really scruffy. I've been using this comb on her and it's amazing how well it's working. I can only do a bit at a time because she doesn't like it, but it's made a huge difference. Once all the mats are gone, I'm going to continue using this comb for weekly cleanups.

The tines are sturdy, but the handle is little small for my preference. It’s adequate.

We have 3 very large dogs with thick hair. Those plastic brushes are worthless. These combs are great. The dogs even seem to enjoy getting beidhed with them.

I still use my pin brush for the first brush through, but I love this comb! It makes my Cavalier King Charles's fur lay slick/smooth. And so good for getting through all the long fur on his ears.
