Perfect fit and noticeable difference!
Used for 5-6 inch commercial electric down light and they fitted really well, there is a noticeable difference in the temperature in the kitchen!

Get the tape
These gasket rings were to be 6 inches as advertised. They were 8 inches. Had to cut 2 inches off of them to make them work .

We used these foam rings to get a better seal around some 6” LED downlight retrofit kits.

A waste. Try thin closed cell strip insulation instead.
Very light open cell gasket. Moves around too easily, makes it more difficult to install light. Taping it down kept it in place, but that was annoying and messy.Found a much better solution: closed cell weatherstripping for very small gaps; I found M-D brand at local HW stor. Already has adhesive, narrow and flexible enough to bend, compresses to below edge of ring, and closed cell seals better. Cut with scissors and fit to edge of trim.

Okay replacement for under trim
Easy to use if you are a handy person. Didn’t have sticky back, and trim doesn’t lie flush with ceiling. It was definitely better than the worn out old foam. Keeps out drafts and bugs.
