As i expected it did not work out of the box, i would think most of the tvs it will not. My tv model lamp was listed in the description. I had to take out out the bulb from the enclosure and put it in new one, worked like a charm and little over a month now i have not had any issues, works flawlessly. It did tho had to warm up at first, 2 hours after turning on with a new bulb t was dull but now its perfect. I would recommend if you are afraid to move the bulb to bracket that is in the tv now get someone who can do that for you as you might require to do so.

The bracket would not fit in my TV flush, so I had to swap the old bracket with the new. Was bad swapping out, but just beware.

Doesn't fit! Lamp got stuck, and couldn't return it. I was due to buy a new TV anyway, but was hoping I could change out my old DLP lamp to put off the expense of a new TV. Fail! On the brighter side I'm going to have a new TV...

The description of this lamp said that it would match the rear projector TV that I own. Turns out when it showed up in the mail it was a different size and didn't match my TV. What a waste of my time!! They did however refund me my money which is to be expected. I doubt I'll ever order anything like this from Amazon again.

Four stars because it works great so far but the housing I had to force it in and I mean force

The bulb replaces another bulb that lasted only one year. In both cases I had to remove the bulb from the fixture and rewire it to the old fixture. in the process, I noticed that the wires were soldered to the bulb rather than attached by a contact that was attached by a nut on the old light. The new soldered wire looks very light and I am concerned about how long this will last with the heat generated. I was also concerned about whether the wire would stay attached during the rewiring process to the old fixture. Fortunately, the new light works and I did not break the soldered connection in the process of rewiring. It also works after a short warm up time. This is a great value if it works. It actually was half the price I paid for the prior replacement which lasted only a year before acting up.

Not as described. Not compatible. Had to remove bulb and transfer too old housing, bulb was REALLY REALLY cheaply made... Hopefully it won't blow up, you can see the chips and deformation...
