I spent a lot of time trying to find a quality drafting/document tube that was > 4". Most are very cheaply made and this was the most promising product. Unfortunately, the reviews suggest that many people got the wrong product; I decided it was worth the risk and placed an order. I was fortunate to have received the right product and am very pleased. I am using this item to store large architectural plans and this is perfect. If this item gets back in stock then I would suggest you order one because the price/quality is better than most of the other tubes that I've looked at.PROS:+ Heavy duty+ Threaded+ Nylon strap looks to be well stitched+ Large diameter & extendable lengthCONS:- Longer than I would prefer but that is a good tradeoff for what I was looking for.

Love this design! The lid screws on, so it doesn't come off as easily as the ones that just slide and lock. Plus, the strap is anchored to the tube before attaching to the cap, so it won't pull as much on the cap.The tube also feels like it's made of a sturdier plastic than the standard design. Most of the time, I'll be using this tube in the short length, not extended, so it should be even sturdier!If you're just storing paper in the studio, the standard version will work. But if I ever have to travel with a tube, this is the one I will take.

As of June 2020: Contrary to the top reviews, the item I received was EXACTLY as described by the seller!!!After reading the top rated negative reviews, I was expecting to receive the lower quality, triangular-shaped tube that some people have received and photographed. I bought it anyway because it was the cheapest tube I found that extended to 49 inches. Also, I mostly wanted it for storage and less for travel.However, I was surprised when the tube I received was EXACTLY as described by the seller!!! It is the circular tube that is pictured by the seller! It has the screw on top/ cap, a handle, and the adjustable shoulder strap. It also has markings on the extending part so you can adjust the tube to the correct length. It appears to be very durable and overall a quality product.I was so happy with the first order that I placed a second order (as I needed more than one tube.) The second tube that I received was also EXACTLY as described by the seller! This leads me to believe that the seller is now consistently providing the product that is advertised!

Very pliable. You can squeeze it with 2 fingers. Great for carrying things.It made it to Alaska but I carried it most of the time. I checked it before boarding the plane. I had 2 poles wrapped in bubble wrap.

I purchased this to store my weBoost cell signal booster. Perfectly fits the antenna, extensions, and cable. The mount stays installed on the rig. I added foam to the ends to prevent components from moving around too much.

Came with a few dents that make the lid a bit hard to open but it fits all my 5 fishing rods perfectly

I recently took my sturdy, durable tube to GalaxyCon. I was able to put several movie posters and comic book posters in it that I was having signed. They fit in the tube perfectly along with some of the art work I purchased at the con. No damages to the edges of the posters. Strap was comfortable enough to wear for 12 hours. I recommend this to to any con goers.

Extended so far that it was very easy to use for multiple different size products. Use to store large painting very functional.
