Finally had to retire my old oral B after years of use! Would not use any other.

Oral-B, Amazon, help me understand this one.I did my research on best electric toothbrushes, selected this as my make and model, went straight to Amazon, found a single listing for the item and it was offered directly by Oral-B vs. some third-party seller. For this reason, I didn't spent any time reading the description or reviews, I just hit the magic One-Click button. I regret doing so.This toothbrush began its world journey in Turkey. It then made its way to a United Kingdom port where it was "Delayed by Customs" for a ridiculous period of time. When it finally arrived at my doorstop, weary from jet lag, I discovered it ISN'T BUILT FOR THE US ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!!!Someone threw in a cheap Europe-to-US adaptor for the conversion. Unfortunately, the adaptor is black but the appliance is white. Not attractive. And the adaptor makes it stick out further from the wall. I had to go on a business trip, and I ended up taking the toothbrush without the adaptor - it stayed stuck in my wall at home.I don't even want to think about the carbon footprint on this thing. I won't sleep at night.Amazon, you need to do MUCH BETTER to ensure that US customers are receiving US-designed products. This isn't some fly-by-night company. This is Oral-B, sold by Oral-B. I am thinking about filing a complaint.But I guess I'm keeping the toothbrush because I needed it for immediate use.Decent toothbrush, by the way...UPDATE, DEC 20, 2021: I'm still peeved, so I did two things. First, I complained directly to Oral-B. Chatted directly with a rep via the web. They said they'd look into it. Second, I posted a message to the UK-based seller asking them why they continue to sell a European-plug appliance to the US market despite years of complaints on Amazon reviews.

It wasn’t clearly stated that the plug needed an adapter from Europe to USA outlets. Later I found the information, a bit hidden however. Also, the charger says for 220 volt. Here in the USA we have 110 volt. Does it effect durability of the toothbrush? The brush itself is good. So I am not very satisfied with that purchase.

Package came all wet and damaged. Can not use the charger because the plug in will not work in the USAIt is meant to use in the UK. Will not order from this company again!!!

If I'm shopping on Amazon in the USA, I don't expect to have to make sure the household item I'm purchasing has an electrical plug that fits into USA electrical sockets.
