What size sheets fit on this?

When folded out, this item is between a twin and a full size bed, so full size sheets would fit best.

How tall is the part where you put your butt on?

The top of the cushion is approx. 14" off the floor. The cushion and support comprises 6" and then down 8" to the floor. Very low by American standards.

The fabric, does it feel more like a bed or a sofa?

More like a sofa, and it's quite firm. When it is folded down as a bed, you can easily feel the difference in each half of the futon. One side is more comfortable. AND IF YOU ARE TALL.... THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. I'm 5'8 and felt like my legs stuck out and there's no way I can snuggle on that thing.

To sleep on, is the cushion firm, medium or soft?

It’s about medium I would say, not to hard and not to soft.
