So delicious and versatile
We purchased this salmon to make patties and salmon salad. It is delicious! The quality is clear to see when you open the container, which is easy to pull. The amount of water in the ca is just enough to have the salmon be very moist. The texture is “crumbly” and soft making it easy to separate. The size of the can is just right to make salmon salad for wraps, pits, buns or bread for 2. The protein content is enough as well! We will continue to buy Wild Planet!

Excellent product. Price fluctuates too much.
This salmon is delicious and is superior to canned pink salmon I have had. The price fluctuates widely. I have seen it go up and down by $10 in the course of one day on Amazon. Nevertheless, it is a superior product.

Wild Planet is still the most reliable brand in my books. I highly recommend it without hesitation.
High quality canned salmon that is fresh and clean tasting. The sodium content is very reasonable compared to what we used to experience with other brands years ago.

excellent brand, trusted brand, love salmon, sockeye is richer/fishier than wild salmon
Very good. I love Wild Planet brand, and buy pretty much everything from them. Sardines, mackerel, various types of tuna, pasta salad, bean salad, really anything. I am a huge fan of salmon and aim to eat it a couple times per week. I select it in lieu of tuna almost every time. Salmon makes my heart sing. Love love loveHowever, I prefer their wild caught pink salmon. It comes down to preference. So keep this in mind if you are not sure which to choose. Pink salmon has a light, mild flavor, best for those that dont want a fishy taste or smell. Can size is larger (6 ounces), and a pull tab. Where as sockeye has a more robust flavor, "fishy" if you will. Still good, just potent. I tend have some fish burps. Can size is smaller (3.75 ounces), and needs a can opener.I really like both, and I keep both on hand. I like sockeye for dishes that I want the flavor to come through more (pasta dish, salmon patties). Or am just in the mood for the rich flavor. I often eat direct from can! I always eat the whole can. I like the pink salmon for just about anything at any time. I will eat that direct from can, or added to a salad or poke bowl.5 stars for brand and usual quality and taste. Going with 4 because I had a can that was more mush. Then the other cans were more solid as expected. Purchased in July of 2024, my 12 cans are dated for Dec 2025. These will be long gone by then, and I am sure to buy more. I go with the skin and bones because why not (may also impact the added flavor). Not noticeable to me.

Sockeye…in a pig’s eye!
Just finished the last of two brands of canned sockeye salmon I’d purchased while in Alaska, so I ordered a dozen of these. They didn’t taste like sockeye salmon, they tasted like the cheap pink salmon from Costco (i.e., like tuna). Moreover, I gave up on using the pull-top on these cans and opened them with a can opener. Bad value.
