I'm quite happy with this teapot
What was I looking for?- not glass (figured it'd show discoloration and need more cleaning)- small (just for me)- good quality- removable tea bin- top that wouldn't fall off when you pour the teaThings I realized I after starting to research teapots- a long-neck spout. I realized the tiny, barely-spouts are just hard to work around, often drip, and you end up clanking the teapot into your mug- a simple, modern look (no old-school look)Now I have the pot. Here's the review...Features I didn't expect but love- the measurements on the side. *super* useful so I can pour hot water in, only as much will fit in my mug (and now I know exactly how big my mug is :) )- The no-drip tip on this one is *tiny*; I wasn't sure about that at first, but it works *really* well.- The removable tea bin and cover are 304 steel. At first, they feel weird because they're *so light* they feel "cheap", but once I saw they were 304 steel, that made sense, and now I like that I don't have this unnecessarily clunky teapot.- This is the delightful super-bonus. At the top of this review I said I didn't want glass. Obviously I compromised on that, but I've gotta say, I *watch* the tea pour out of this teapot every time I pour. The tea is more concentrated (darker) around the tea bin, so when you pour, you get this amazing mixing and flowing of different shades of tea. Quite an unexpected bonus :)Cons (only 2 *very* minor ones)- I'm super pick about handle shape. The handle on this has an rounded outer surface, but the inner surface is not rounded, which I don't quite like the feel of. very minor thing, but I like handles to be comfortable in the hand.- The metal top/receiver for the lid doesn't have any kind of air vent in it. Consequence is that condensation from the steam will *remain* in the pot. I don't like this because water + air + bacteria = lots of bacteria. But simple solution: pop the top out just enough to let it vent.

Elegant and functional teapot!
This glass teapot is both beautiful and practical. The 33 oz size is perfect for brewing tea for one or a small group, and the removable infuser makes it easy to use with loose tea or blooming tea. The borosilicate glass is durable and stovetop-safe, so you can heat water directly in it. The clear design with scale lines adds a touch of elegance and makes measuring simple. A great choice for tea lovers!

I've become very fond of this little teapot
I've been looking for a convenient way to brew loose tea for several years. The little tea ball I'd been using just wasn't very handy if I needed more than one cup of tea. The strainer in this tea pot is easier to fill, empty, and clean. While the pot is made of heat-safe glass (good choice!) and you can use it to heat water, I wouldn't try to boil in it. With the spout attached low on the body, boiling will force hot water out of the spout causing a scalding hazard. That goes for any pot with a low spout, not just this one. Besides, most tea is better if it's steeped at a lower temperature than boiling. My only wish for this teapot is that I'd gotten a small bottle brush with it to clean the spout. The clear glass is pretty when it's full of tea, but when it's empty it's easy to see that it needs to be washed. The interior is easy to clean with a cloth or sponge but the spout is just a little too narrow. :-)

Bit thin but it's holding up
The glass is a bit thin and that makes it feel more fragile than I expected, but this teapot has held up to several months of use without any problems. It's been knocked into things in the sink while washing but it hasn't suffered any cracks or damage. It comes apart in a way that makes cleaning very easy, and when you put it back together, everything feels like it settles nicely into place without fuss. And it's very nice to be able to see the color of the tea so you can pull the leaves out before it oversteeps. Glad we have it!

LOVE how this lightweight pitcher pours !!! Exceptionally fair priced.
First time I have ever heated the water IN the teapot in a microwave. I am NOT a tea connoisseur. I am your basic Lipton tea bag guy. I drink a LOT of tea in the summer. I have another pot I have had for years and it is just fine. This one, however, has the 40oz capacity (which is over the other one I have). Being glass, it will certainly be EZ to clean and keep that way. I am not, however, in love with the top. It does what it is supposed to do, but could be a little stronger. The flip tab that opens the top is a bit ... well ... flimsy ... and can bend relatively easily. Other than that, the pot is PERFECT. Pouring from it is almost an exact science ... in that the fluid leaves the spout in an arc that is quite controllable and sorta fascinating to watch. You CANNOT beat this pot for the price.
