Fantastic knife!
I spent a good deal of time looking at various knives but I knew I wanted a Kershaw due to them both being well known (vs some random marketing-driven name like "MASTER SHARP" "TACTICAL FORCE" etc.) as well as the fact that I've had a couple friends use Kershaw as their daily carry utility knife and they loved them. Those two things combined with positive review led me to feel confident that I was going to get a high quality knife made from high quality steel. While I am certainly no expert in knives or the types of steel they are made from, I can tell you that this knife arrived from the factory with a very sharp grind that, while it won't do a fully clean shave, will definitely take some hair off the inside of your arm if you prefer to test that way, it effortlessly slices a clean cut through your average piece of printer paper, and flies through much of the stuff I need a knife for as if it wasn't even there. The knife is a clean and simple design and you can tell by holding it that it is very well made. The opening/release mechanism works well and the safety lock is easily disengaged using the ring finger if you're right handed. The locking lever pops into the correct position every time. I will say that the safety lock does make me a little nervous because it feels like it could potentially, eventually loosen up to the point that it might disengage in the pocket. With the opening mechanism being fairly powerful, that idea makes me a little nervous. Thankfully it looks like it can be tightened with a star bit should it start to get loose. The finish on my teal model is gorgeous. My phone photos make it seem a bit more bright (admittedly my favorite shade of blue) but in reality it is a bit more muted. That isn't a bad thing.Overall I highly recommend this knife. I am optimistic that it will last me for years.

Bought Two of These Fantastic Blades
I will start off with saying this is a fantastic knife, but it has a "safety feature" that NEEDS to be removed.Every once in a while, when I take the knife out of my pocket, a lock has engaged that prevents it from openening. I'm sorry, but when I want to open my knife, I want it to open! This "safety feature" is actually a danger if you need your knife now, but it locked itself without your consent. Thankfully, the lock can easily be removed with T6 Torx.Digressing from my one and only complaint...I am a 46 year old man, and it is honestly smaller than I had hoped, and smaller than what I am used to carrying. Having said that, it is a fantastic knife! I run a small farm, and I use my knife dozens, if not hundreds, of times a day. Whether I am breaking down cardboard, cutting thistle at its base (cutting through dirt), opening feed bags, cutting hay ties, or even just as an envelope opener... this knife is an essential tool, and it has done me well for more than a year now.I bought the black version for myself, and since I do open beer bottles frequently with it, I wish I had gone with one that did not have a black blade. Scratches are to be expected, but with the black blade, they are fare more visible. Aesthetics having no importance at all for me, I won't dock any stars for scratches on the finish due to my complete misuse of the tool.My wife recently mentioned wanting a new EDC knife, and since I love this thing, but at the same time felt it a little on the small side, I knew it would be perfect for her. I got the teal version for her, and she is beyond happy with the knife. She also ran into the issue of the knife locking itself, so I removed this "safety feature" from hers as well.Overall, the blade quality is fantastic! After more than a year of heavy usage, a quick hone every week or so has kept this thing as sharp as the day I got it. I am perfectly capable of putting a new edge on a knife, but that has yet to be necessary

Another great Kershaw
My daily carry. Strong, sharp out of the box, takes an edge well, holds it well. Handle is a little small for my hands and a bit oddly shaped, but I'll gladly cope as this is my favorite blade shape. Recommend for sure.

Great knife and customer service from Kershaw
I love this knife. Easy to handle, lightweight, love the spring loaded open. The brushed steel can be a bit slippery in the hand, but the belt clip acts as a nice counterforce to position your ring finger on while opening and handling (and the clip can be switched over for lefthand use). I've used mine for a few years and sharpened it once. It keeps its edge well. The color makes it easy to locate in my purse.Kershaw also has excellent customer service, which is what prompted me to write this review. I snapped the tip lock off (just the black plastic inside) and asked for a replacement. They sent the parts to me completely free of charge (and will do so for just about any part except the blade itself). I will say without the tip lock, the knife has a tendency to pop open when dropped. So just don't drop it, or move those feet away when you do. :)

Great Knife. Sure sharp
Love my new knife. After three years of hard use it was time to begin with a new one. My old one was replaced several times by the company but I use them hard. So decided to begin anew.....

Wonderful knife with one issue. Hoping for a push button lock version.
Love the shape, size and teal color. Almost sent it back however because the blade lock (the one that keeps blade locked open)was very hard to disengage. Didnt get 20% engagement either. I don't own tools I have to fight lol.But I love it otherwise so I took a very little off the blade and liner lock end with fine jeweler file, fine sandpaper would work also, and presto! Nice and smooth and blade still secure. Like it should have come new.A button lock and low profile deep carry pocket clip version would be perfect for me!
