I really like the concept but for the price that I paid, I did expect more. I expected a zipper that would lock into place and not gradually open every time I moved. Of course this item is going to be used in a hot and most likely very busy environment so you would think they would have put a locking zipper on these Plus by the time you fill it with all the ice packs you need it is very heavy. Being a man I can deal with it and I guess most women probably could too but just wanted to let you know you're going to be wearing around a lot of ice packs and they do get heavy. Again a great concept just needs a little more improvement for the price they're asking.

The vest is a men's small. I needed a 2xl. There is no option to select a larger size.

I spend about 4 to 6 hours once every week attending to my 1 acre jungle. Here is my setup when I go out. I live in Central Florida where the temps are in the high 90's and the humidity is just outrageous right now. I wear a full length, long sleeve navy jump suit, high top military boots, gloves, neck shade and hat. I also wear a neck fan. After wearing the vest a few times, I can tell you that it really works. Some of the ice bags do leak, but that's ok with me because it cools me down and makes the vest lighter as the hours go by. I switched to quart freezer bags instead so that I can refill them with ice as needed and they don't leak. The vest is heavy when full of ice, so take that into account. I wish the zipper was longer and came further up the chest more. The vest is quite large, (I am 5'9, 160 lbs), but when full of ice it kinda works out. In the past I would have to take an extended break every hour or so and it would take me all day to finish the yard. Now I just come in once to refill the ice bags and get drink of gatorade. At the end of the day I don't feel punished by the heat and my core temperate stays low through out the whole day. Bottom line, I like it.

Okay -so first I should say I am a large chested lady and this item is really not - one size fits. It does in no way shape or form close or zip for me - however it does have 2 breast level inside pockets that I put frozen water bottles in and that works for me. The 4 pockets on the back of the item are decent size and I purchased ( separately) good quality ice packs because they ones they include with this item are terrible! If you can manage to get them filled they burst from any pressure such as simply sitting in a chair with this item on then you have "goo" in all the pockets - so be prepared to purchase good quality freezer packs.Also - once you have all the freezer packs and/or bottle in the pockets 1) to its credit it does work great but 2) it's a bit heavy, not uncomfortably so but just be aware. I work outside walking in the Arizona heat - so this product makes my work day easier just realize its limitations.

I purchased this vest because I work outside in 100+ degree heat for about three hours, twice a week. The vest with the frozen inserts has helped me to tolerate the extreme heat considerably. The inserts stay frozen for a good 2 or so hours so it helps me to get through the majority of my time in the brutal heat. But remember, I am in extreme conditions. All things considered, this was a good purchase.

Bought this for my mobile mechanic husband. After reading reviews I bought him different ice packs (the hard rectangular ones for lunch boxes) and they fit perfectly. We live in the south and this keeps him way cooler in the heat and humidity.

Tho the threads on this vest are very weak and already coming apart on the back between the ice packs and I’ve had two of the ice packs already break open and spill everywhere, which is just water. There was no thickening agent! Water came out clean and the same as I put it in! So that’s a lie. But you can get ice packs at Kroger cheap enough. Not a deal breaker. And the ice packs don’t seem to have enough material between them and your body so it gets very very cold….. but then again it is cooling you. Lol I’d prefer if it was alittle thicker material on that inner pockets. Can always slap some wash cloths between the ice packs and you. But it does help… and cheap. So what do you expect lol
