There just isn't much to say about this bottom Bracket except it works good and lasts along time. Give it a try, the pricing is good and shipping is fast.

Great BB, much stiffer than the square taper it replaced. Installation was easy. My only concern is with the design, using a plastic threaded ring on the NDS. If that becomes an issue, the metal one from a higher end BB can be bought on amazon.

The cheaper model lasted easily 5-10, 000 miles
Seems to be a solid part. I bought it to replace the cheaper model (didn't know I had it 'till I pulled it). The cheaper model lasted easily 5-10,000 miles, including salty winter riding, so I expect this one will do well also.

Octalink bottom bracket upgrade from Square Taper
I've got a 1996 Specialized Rockhopper, stripped the left crank arm by stupidly trying to remove the pedal by rotating for Right Hand threads. NOTE on Threads: left crank has Left Hand threads, drive/right side of bottom bracket has Left Hand threads. Tried to upgrade my old, tired square taper bottom bracket to a Hollow Tech II, but couldn't find a suitable crankset for gearing ratio or bottom bracket width. My bike has a 73mm wide shell, had trouble finding HT II bottom bracket and crankset to match, so I went with available Octalink instead, which is working great. Apparently Octalink is older and has fallen out of favor, current preference in biking community is Hollow Tech II.
