Compared to JL
Coming from a 12 JLw6 this is a great sub. Frequency range is improved over the JL, and almost as much bass capability down low but the JL was better suited to the lower frequency range, the JBL seems more at home playing the mid low range better at 63-80hz. Great sub at a 1/3 of the cost of the JL.

If you want competition sound at a budget friendly price than look no further than the S3 line of subs from JBL. This thing rocks with 500 watts and a 1 cubic foot sealed box. Strap yourself in and get ready to Rock! I've had JL, Infinity, Mtx, fosgate etc this is as good if not better at the 150 price point.
