Not good
This thing sucks. It "works" but the picture is terrible and the controls suck. The controls give no indication of a sliding scale, etc. This might be ok for an old tube TV, with low resolution, but not good for anything high def. I think the highest resolution is 1024x768. If your PC has output to a projector, try one of the passive cables first. I'm guessing those will be more likely to maintain native resolution. I'm taking mine back and trying this

TV VGA Converter
This works okay for dvd video off of my old sony viao laptop. I do not have a S-video out port just vga and the picture is blurry if im viewing the desktop (microsoft windows). Web surfing is also a no go. Too blurry. I bought this in hopes that I could use the old laptop to view dvd video and surf the web from my tv (older crt style) but it just isn't a clear enough picture for web surfing. The instructions are sparse but says if picture is blurry use S-Video. That would be good if my laptop had S-Video. It is serving its purpose of replacing my defective dvd player, but after the 40 bucks for this plus the 15 bucks for the adapter cables i could have went to a retail store and bough a cheap dvd player. Oh well, lessens learned. Only clear picture is off of dvd movies. I am figuring that the pixels are blurry but I just cant tell which works for me til I can figure out how to make it work. Alot of work for what I needed.

Does what it should, could use better directions
I frequently need to display videos and presentations from my laptop on older-model TVs. My personal laptop only has VGA out capabilities. This product was easy to use, just plug in all the cords, set my laptop to projector mode, and it works. I'm using Windows 7 (64 bit), which is NOT listed on the packaging as a supported OS, but it works fine.I am relatively tech savvy. So I didn't have any trouble with the cables, but if you have trouble hooking up your home theater system without help, you might have trouble with this. The instructions help, but were clearly written by someone who needs more English lessons and they refer to colored cables, but the pictures are in black and white. If you have problems and all the cables look right, check that your computer's graphics card will output one of the resolution/refresh rate combinations supported by this product. If you're thinking of buying this to surf the web on your TV, note that most TVs have lower resolutions than your computer screens. So text and plots may look fuzzy. This is not a problem with video, which we are used to watching on our TV's. And I can still navigate Hulu and such if I increase font sizes, but this setup is not ideal for general web surfing.

A Karaoke Host Must Have!
This has been by far the most valuable small piece of equipment I've ever used. This purchase was to ensure that I have a backup. This awesome device allows for me to be able to project images from my Laptop to my Karaoke Monitor (TV) at shows. When I first bought the product, I didn't realize that when you turn your computer on, you have to wait until you see the very first opening screen on your laptop prior to plugging in the gray video cord into your laptop.I haven't advanced to the more advanced Kworld products. I look at it like this, if it's not broke, why fix it. This is a very hard product to find at a brick and mortar store. Amazon has always been the most affordable. Some knuckleheads will charge you up to $70 for this. Keep it real with Amazon!

Don't waste your money
I purchased a KWorld SA235 PC to TV from another web vendor. It produced no video output from composite or s-video outputs, and bright, blurry, and left shifted video from the vga output. I tried all the allowed input resolutions. I checked the video format switches. I tested all my video inputs with other devices, and they all passed. I returned the SA235 for replacement. The replacement SA235 behaved exactly the same. I am returning the replacement for a refund. Now I am out the cost of shipping two SA235s back to the vendor. I will never buy another product marketed by KWorld, and I will always recommend that others do the same.

Get the kworld kw-pctv-1600 instead of this one!
I've tried piles of these scan converter boxes from many manufacturers. This one will work just barely enough to get you by. Most of the time i'm using them to convert my vga output on my laptop to svideo and it gets unplugged and packed up and reinstalled somewhere else the next day. This one is cheap quality and will fall apart.. well all of them do but this one only lasts 1/3 the time that the kw-pctv-1600 lasts (also by kworld). The 1600 also does component out where this one does not.One thing I really hate about this box is every time its turned off, it doesnt remember any adjustment settings you made of centering the picture. It also doesnt have options for changing video color/contrast/saturation that the 1600 will do. Yes it costs less, but in this case it really is just that much worse.

good
very good product, helped me to pass my analog TV my movies, but I did not know that this type of television that I have can not pass the bone volume that must be computed with the entire volume to be seeing the movie on TV and can listen.
