Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision SE Webcam

I highly reccomend the Ultra Cam for any Mac User who feels "Slighted" by not having the "iSight" availible any longer. Comments on this cam from the recieving end have all said "Exceptionally Sharp and clear Video" and Good clean audio on Ichat. Works Great on my "Mac Pro, running OS 10.5! It provides the "Missing" Video and Sound Inputs that my Mac Pro sorely needed to be a "Complete" computer. (My previous Mac Had Isight and audio built in as a Imac, I should not expect less from Apple on "Professional Grade" machine such as the "Mac Pro")My reccomendation is to pass up all the other cams and get this one, best performance for the value and money! (I tried a couple of others, but thier performance was sub par). Thank You Logic Tech for a superior Product that compliments and enhances my Mac Experiance, As I do use my Machine and your camara for my video Conferences!)

I don't have the best computer in the world, but this little cam still works great. I can't go into too much detail as i'm using a 5 year old computer which i'm sure hinders some of the functionality, but I just want to say that when skyping with my wife, she noticed a great difference between this cam and another one I was using. She said the picture was much smoother and brighter (thanks to the right light technology). Audio was also great.My daughter (3 years old) likes when I use some of the avatars and facial features, so she has a lot of fun telling me which one to use, lol.For skyping and general recording, it does fairly well (like I said, i'm using a 5 year old bottom line computer which hinders this cam). It's still very laggy on Yahoo Messenger, but I rarely use it there anyway.The size...it's a bit large. If you have a big laptop, this will be ok. My biggest beef is that the part that bends doesn't bend far enough. It's great for a monitor, but might be a bit loose on a laptop. I only have a netbook (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE! lol) so I can't be sure.Overall, a great product. If I need to upgrade webcams again in the future, i'll definitely look at logitech first. Easy to set up, easy to use, great product! LOVIN' IT!

I dont really use the microphone on it but it picks up conversations from afar (that were not meant for my partner to hear. You can turn off all the lights in the room except your laptop, barely tip up the brightness and wham yho have a high quality pic just like it was the middle of theday. I have been online with my other one 24/7 for 2 years -8 weeks for my trips to HK and the Philippines. I also have a QickCam Pro 9000, and it has a dirty dark picture with low light applications, I told Logitech their best product ever is The Logitech QuickCam Ultra SE. I have purchased many of these cams as it is the only cam I will ever buse again, until they come out with another just like it. If anyone is interested I have the Brand new 9000 for a giant dicount from the purchase price with a full 2 year Mfg warranty, Only 2 Hours of use on it. Just leave me a number and I will give you a Jingle.

Amazon didn't send the Special Edition for Macs only.Be careful. I don't know if they even stock it.

this camera is huge and the bracket is even bigger. although it has good clarity of picture, the ungainly bracket and overwhelming size limit it's use to desk top computers.

This is a good-looking unit and with its glass lens, it is able to produce sharper images than other webcams I've used. OK, so why just a 3-star rating? The "RightLight Technology" is way overrated. During the day, when the subject (me) is backlighted by a large window, my image is a silhouette. This is no better than what can be expected from a $25 webcam. The "RightSound" is much better. It's great to be able to have Skype conversations without first having to put on a headset. The unit effectively cancels the voice feedback.I like this webcam for the incorporated mic and the feedback fix and the glass lens, but Logitech needs to do more work on the backlighting problem.

This is a fantastic Webcam. It is a little tricky on Vista to use. The voice option for IM Yahoo does not work so be careful when you purchase this if that is what you want to do. I am presuming the Yahoo will eventually come out with a fix for Vista version of voice on IM Yahoo. Other than that the options rock! The picture turns out great and you have great control over the image resolution, color and over all balance. I have nephews in oversees and I can Webcam with them and replace my face with that of a shark - way too much fun!. They so dig it. The software is great and the cam is really sleek looking and easy to hook up.

I needed a webcam so that my son could talk to his father while he was away and after researching and reading reviews we chose the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision SE. When it arrived, we hooked both webcams up on our Vista computers and installed the software without any issues. We've used them for several months 2 - 4 times a week and have had no issues. The camera eye turns so it's easily adjustable, it has a adjustable hook to hook on to the top of your computer monitor or laptop. The picture is clear, the only issue I have had is that the picture is darker than I'd like at times. It could be the room lighting or an easy adjustment in the webcam settings. Overall, I would definitely recommend this camera as it was very affordable and works well.
