HIKARI LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit -H13(9008),CREE (XHP50+XM-L2) 9600lm 6K Cool White,2 Yr Warranty

Originally bought these in 2017. The first set worked great for about 10 months, then one of the surface mounted LEDs un-soldered it's self and fell off... eventually the whole bulb died, and the other one soon followed.Hikaari replaced them, after sending in photos. While the process was easy, it was lengthy and I had to put the OEM bulbs back in while I waited for the replacements.We are now at 3 years from purchase and on the second set (that was provided under warranty)... this set is now doing the same thing as the first set. One of the surface mount LEDs has un-soldered itself again. I think I will be going with a different brand as to not have to deal with replacing the bulbs every 1 year.These are rated for 50,000hrs of usage... That's 5 years of life if they're powered on for 24hours a day, 365 days a year.The warranty only covers 17,519.9 hours of usage... providing they're powered for 24hours a day.The fact that these are used for maybe 4 hours a day at most (depending on driving habits), they are only warrantied for ~0.058% of their life expectancy. They wouldn't even last 17k+ hours of usage if they can't last for more than 3000 hours of usage.

Bulbs are installed in an F150 and began flickering/blinking after ~9 mos. This is my 2nd set of the same model (H13 / 9008) and also 2nd F150 to exhibit the same issue. The bulbs will hold HIGH beam, without issue; further confirmation of a bulb issue. Recently, I've had to make it home on my Alla LED fog (LED) lights, to avoid becoming a magnet for a nighttime (police) stop, since the issue is so obvious to other vehicles. Thank the Lord, Ford wired the F150 so that the fogs can be operated separately from the headlight circuit! It isn't easy finding reliable products and you have to carefully read many reviews to have a hope of gleaning helpful knowledge.Hikari has been good about warranty replacements, which is why I'm stretching up to give this item 2 Stars, however, their products, though satisfactorily bright, as to both headlight and interior LEDs, have major reliability and short usable life issues, which suggest looking elsewhere until there's strong evidence they've resolved their issues .... perhaps, when the products are actually manufactured in the States ... :-)

I’ve had these for over a year and a half now. The light is brighter than the original and easy to install, comprable to other LED headlights.As for the most important thing, longevity of the product, is where it falls short. The right side started acting up after about 15 months and now it keeps flickering and is less bright than it used to be.I would recommend it if you want an upgrade for a while, short term. However, for the price, I’m pretty sure you can pay just a bit more and get something that will last you for a few years at least.I’m rating it 2 stars, since most LED’s I’ve tried and seen are just as bright, so there’s no contest there. However, they didn’t last nearly as much as I expected they would.There may be a 2 year warranty but it seems like a hassle to get it done. We’ll see how that resolves.

Great bulb for the 2 years I had them, but then the first bulb started to flicker and was noticably off-color compared to the other side. Next day, half of the first bulb didn't illuminate, next day after, first bulb is completely dead and the fan spins like crazy. Not going to wait for the 2nd bulb to die like others have reported.5 stars for brightness, 3 stars for install, 1 star for longevity. Spend a bit more and get a higher quality set.

Junk.Fans quit after 18 months. Bulbs overheated while driving and burnt out. No way of knowing fans stopped while driving long distance.Stay away
