3MXtract Net Disc 710W, 6 in, 12 Piece Multi-Pack Hook and Loop Sanding Discs, 80+, 120+, 180+, 220+, 240+, 320+, Virtually Dust-Free, Assorted Grades, 88516

I'm an amateur woodworker with way too many tools for my skill level but I do like good stuff. I've tried a ton of different sandpapers on my Makita 18v random orbital sander and by a magnitude or order, these are the best I've used. I bought a box of the 120 grit and have never used a paper on my sander that was as aggressive as these are. They are legit, but... as tough as these are, it will take a long time to use them all. If you are a weekend warrior, I would look for the assortment pack. There is no need for a whole box of one grit. Had I known how effective these were, I wouldn't have gotten a 50 pack. I saw an assortment that included 2-each of several grits but I thought 2 of each would be too little. It would have been a smarter purchase. From there I could have decided which grits I would go through and order accordingly. Fortunately I have a competitor's paper that I can use to do final finishing. One thing of note... these 120 grit discs bite hard and my best luck in controlling the sander has been with a supplemental hook & loop pad on the original hook & loop pad. The extra cushion helps keep the sander from deciding on its own where it wants to be.

Used a lot of sandpaper in 45+ years of woodworking and this is far and away the best paper that I have ever used. Cuts very fast and leaves a great finish even on soft woods like pine. The only draw back that I have found is when using it for sanding on the lathe - if you let the heat from the sanding get too hot it tends to melt the mesh. I just finished cleaning up some epoxy that I used on a critical joint and this sandpaper cut through it like it was a hardwood. I used one the crepe sticks to clean the epoxy off of the sandpaper and was able to continue using the disk. Recommended.

due to a super breathable design, this thing does not clog, and it lasts a Loooong time. I never knew a quality sand paper will save so much hassle, elbow grease, and time. I'm not spending any money on sand papers with lesser of quality than this.

MY DeWalt RO sander picks up all the dust sanding Southern Yellow Pine, all the grits. I can peel off the disc and do "touch-up", put the disc back on the sander and continue on.

I didn't get the amount of use out of the discs that I expected, after having watched videos and reading reviews. They didn't last any longer than the cheap ones from the big box stores. The only positive I can give them is the dust extraction is significantly better.

Have used the 'regular' type of sandpaper discs for years then found these on sale and made the leap. They are just 'the best'! Don't hesitate on purchasing. I've now gone with purchasing various grits for all my sanding needs and will not be going back to any other sanding discs. Don't waste your time w/any other. Buy!

These 3M Xtract discs have become the new standard for sanding! They are long lasting and reduce dust from the sides of the sander!

Cubitron is amazing this stuff doesn't clog fast like every other paper. Dust collection is great dry. Unparalleled for wet hand sanding on paint, grains are well adheared, stay sharp and rinse clean.

I’ve tried a few types of discs but really like these. They’re effective, have great dust collection, and you can usually tell when it’s time to change the disc for a new one just by looking at it. I have these in various grits, and it does the trick for hard wood like maple, or soft pine.
