Trying to find a suitable water bottle for a child is never simple.However this bottle is my new favourite.So far Leak proof…no need to touch the spout with germy little fingers, strong plastic that feels rigid enough to survive if it falls during the water drinking excitement, the design is well printed and should hopefully last a good while, also has a loop thing to enable it to be carried.

Beautiful bottle but not suitable for very young children. Bought this for my daughter who's at nursery and the lid is hard for her to open (not easy for an adult either). Also it's very smelly - I've washed it 3 times with warm soapy water and it still smells of very strong chemicals and the water tastes as if its chlorinated

I purchased two of these bottles (one large, one smaller) in August last year, for my daughters (2 and 5).Over the years, we have been through so many drinking bottles. My two are fairly active, so the bottles get knocked around in bags, dropped, trodden on… Both of these bottles have really stood the test of time. The images on my oldest daughter’s bottle are finally starting to come off, but given how much it is used (daily) and knocked around, I am surprised they have lasted this long.Plus points - they look great, they are robust, they have a little clip lock (which avoids accidental spills when they’re in bags) and they are very easy to clean.Negative points - there is no straw (so there is the occasional spill when too much liquid comes out). There is also a small hole above the mouthpiece. If you drink the bottle in a way that the lid is sitting on one side of your mouth, water comes out of the small hole. If you drink it so the hole is directly above the mouthpiece, it doesn’t tend to spill, but it’s slightly awkward as the lid is pressing into your nose. It’s a small point, wouldn’t stop me from ordering again, and I still think the best bottles we have purchased. But something to bear in mind!

I have two plain ones for myself so knew ion8 made good leakproof bottles. We now have three of these for my 4.5 year old (one for school, one for sports, one spare for if we forget to wash one).The design is cute, in time I expect it’ll be damaged by the dishwasher but so far it’s held up great. Just make sure to give the lid a quick wash under the tap when it comes out the dishwasher as it collects water in the cover due to the shape.My daughter had already got used to opening mine and this works the same so easy enough for her to open/close.
