How do you remove these without damaging paint on door?

Do you need to push the button in order to lock it? In other words, can your child lock you in with a swipe or will it be same as unlocking?

You push the unlock button abs it will click to stay unlocked to your kid can come up behind you to push it back into the lock position. If you leave it in between abs not in the unlocked position then try they can lock you in. I have not had that problem with my one year old but i make sure it’s in one of the two positions never in between lol.
