I was a little skeptical at first about buying after seeing SEVERAL bad reviews but I saw a review that said to disregard the bad reviews and I'm glad I listened. Everything works as it should. Set up and installation was very easy with no wires to run. The only drilling that I had to do was the screws for the outside camera mounts. I have a brick house so I used tap cons. The system has been up for 3 weeks now and I've only had to charge one camera battery out of 4 and that's because it's the "busiest " camera (picking up the most motion from the street). I haven't figured out how to talk through the phone app to the cameras so the subject can hear me yet but overall I am very happy with the purchase and I would HIGHLY recommend if you want a surveillance video system that's super easy to install.

This system is amazing! You have to recharge the cameras, but as long as they aren't 'tripped' too often, they last for weeks. And you can change the sensitivity, so it doesn't record blowing leaves every 2 minutes (my initial issue). I bought the 4 camera system which included cloud storage for 7 days worth of motion detected footage. And being able to watch and listen LIVE when you want, is very reassuring when you here an unknown noise. It's great for seeing how your deliveries are left as well. And watching and listening to your dog when you leave home! And you can talk into the app on your phone and the speaker in the camera comes through loud and clear! My internet is quite slow, yet Arlo works perfectly.

I almost chose not to buy the Arlos since I’ve read some pretty bad reviews on them. Please disregard these negative reviews. Obviously they have some other interests beyond objectively giving a review. These are really good cameras and it’s very convenient do it yourself system.Like many, I bought my Arlos the week after my car was stolen. Better late than never I guess! A quick walk around my house and I determine where best they should be. Since they’re only four cameras, I covered my driveway, front door, back door and garage interior. Setting that up was easy the magnetic connections work great. I did use the one screw in type mount to capture the angle I needed on my front door. Aiming the cameras was easy since I already connected them to the base station I could do them on my iPad.Dislikes. They give you a base station to accommodate five cameras but only put four cameras in the kit. Of course I bought the fifth camera and I’m sure they knew I would and got their extra hundred bucks out of me. Motion detection and alerts seem to lag a bit. I like the magnetic connections but had to be careful with placement so nobody could reach up and grab the camera. The audible alarm seems to come from the base station and not the camera which is a bit disappointing if I’m trying to scare someone out of my driveway.Likes: although the new super high DEF cameras were available, these work just fine for a lot less money. I like the fact that I can set them up and move them around. The app works very well. Seven days free storage is more than enough to store videos. I do not get many false alarms from birds or bunnies or the trees blowing. Battery changes are easy but you do need to plan to get your ladder out to change them. Unless you have mounted them very low in which case someone may decide to change it for you.

Went with the Arlo Pro even though the 2 just came out due to all the great reviews. I figured I could always add Pro 2 cameras for certain areas that might need a better resolution should I see the need. Set the system up in minutes and am thrilled with this product. I got the Arlo Pro 4 camera system and plan on adding the q and a few more cameras to the system now that I see how great the system is. Would highly recommend this product. Night vision is amazing, app is very user friendly, perfect system!*update* battery life is amazing, system is flawless and the app doesn't miss a beat. I can't say enough about this system! Worth every penny spent!

So easy to set up and awesome quality of pictures. Can see what's going on at my home from anywhere just by looking on my phone. I bought these because a friend recommended them. She's right, they're awesome! She just said to make sure and buy a jump drive to plug in to the back of the hub so we can keep the videos for as long as we need to and don't have to use online storage. These are very worth the money! Also, you can't tell that they're on, which is good for a prowler. The only challenge we had was agreeing as to where to put them (lol).

Work fine, but if someone steals your camera(s) don't expect Arlo to replace them. They claim you can qualify if you meet certain criteria, but you have to have purchased them directly from Arlo, and given the service experience, and even if you choose to do that, I suspect you will get redirected instead of helped. So some advice: put the cameras somewhere where it would be really hard to take them, even though it's a pain for you to get them for recharging. And be sure to place them where the motion goes across the field of vision instead of directly towards the camera, they're really slow to detect that. Don't expect support! Otherwise awesome. lol

While not as robust as a professional system should be ("Open the camera, remove battery to reset"), and no you still can't hide or rename the SSID or change the channel it resides on, these cameras setup quickly, integrate to phone app nicely, and send back crisp images. The adjustment settings are a bit hieroglyphic for me (which means "less sensitive" the running guy or the standing guy?). The alarm is deafening and if you have a pet, I would not use this feature - at least until you've tuned all settings to ensure you don't have a false alarm trigger the siren.
