Been looking for sometime for good solar lights, lights that have a good battery life with limited day light (In the winter) but also have a good brightness.Great lights, easy to fit..but living on a main road i have passing cars triggering the lights constantly and as a result the lights would trigger constantly killing the batteries within an hour.So I have put some electrical tape over half the sensor and now they last from 4:30pm - 00:00 (November), as they only trigger with movement on my driveway, so therefore do not trigger the main brighter light.I only needed them to identify my driveway using the low light mode, so the brighter light when you pull onto the drive is an absolute bonus.Overall i am very happy, its only been a few weeks but they are impressive for the price.

Perfect for above front and back doors. Bright but not overwhelming. Good price too!!

This solar light has a good quality and lightweight build. I recommend installing it using the screws for a better hold.For a price of £9.99 for one solar light, I think it is a bargain, it has a sleek design and doesn’t need wired into the house which is so convenient.

To be frank, I didn’t read the dimensions of these lights, I was expecting bigger.I was expecting the lights to be the size of two put together, they are small-ish. See the dimensions.In all fairness, they put out a decent amount of light and spreads quite wide.I originally was going to use these light up my driveway to the pavement, but these won’t do that, totally my fault.Instead I have fitted them to light up the back garden path, attached to the pagoda posts.With the PIR sensor they work fabulously, making the area safe, especially during the autumn winter months.They have two light colours, warm and cool; I have set it to cool.The warm light does remind me of traditional lampposts growing up, looks nostalgic.In terms of build, they feel sturdy and listed as waterproof. I’ve never had good luck with solar lights, as over time water seems to penetrate them and corrode the circuit boards and/or battery, even some IP rated ones. I will add an additional layer of silicone on top, sealing the solar panel further and rear, along the screwed access panel. I had watched a youtube video testing this out, which gave great results to protect from water damage.Conclusion – Be aware of the size, don’t assume like I did. They are still quite nice solar lights, giving ample illumination for pathways and similar. As they are not IP rated though waterproof, be aware. For the price they are ok, but you may find better for the same, especially IP rated versions. Only long term testing can really evaluate these.

Solar Lights Outdoor, SLGOL 2 in 1 White and Warm Light 104 LED Solar Motion Sensor Security Lights Solar Powered Lights Waterproof Wireless Wall Lights Solar LampsPriced at £22.99 for two lights at the time of this review.I have bought many of these of similar design and they are very difficult to review as they work OK but do have a fairly high failure rate about 12 months later and I usually discover the fault is on the circuit board not the battery or solar panel.When I unpacked these one slipped out of the packaging and hit the kitchen floor.They are difficult to test as you need an initial charge of the internal battery in bright lighting and then a dark area to switch them on as they only illuminate when it is dark apart from a short flash.The one I dropped had given a flash of light as I unpacked it and after removing the back plate I discovered the top connector to the circuit board had come off.Reconnecting it and it was fixed and it worked OK.The button has 3 options On- Off/ Cold Light/ Warm Light sequentiallyIt is also activated by movement as long as it is dark enough and will after a short time go to a dim function.This model does seem to have more functions than usual including an option to illuminate dimly all the time when dark. I like this function as you know it is working.I do like to have a number of LED around the house and outside and the technology gets better every time I buy one.For the price they do seem to be good value.
