Accumulair FC25X32_4 MERV 6 Rating Air Filter/Furnace Filters, 25x32x1 (24.5 x 31.5) - 4 pack

I bought these to replace the builder grade ones in our new home. I bought the same size the originals were and had measured the opening as well but they're too small! I had hoped it would be ok since it was such a close to right fit, but no. It actually bent and got completely sucked inside the ventilation system. Since I ordered 6, I'm going to make corner braces in the vent to keep them from getting sucked in. I can live with the insanely tiny gap around the edges that won't get filtered.UPDATE: Since I bought packages of these, we're still using them. We had one that got sucked up and out of place due to being too small for the opening (by a fraction on and inch). I wanted to share my solution.My problem vent is a ceiling vent. To prevent the filter getting sucked up again, I used bamboo skewers. Yes. I tape one across each corner inside the vent and now it'll never be a problem again. I have used these filters for the past 2 years, and I know they work great because of the lack of dust accumulation on my tables and lamps (but I faithfully change them every 3 months)! The filters I need are an odd size and can't be found on retail, so I must order them online; I was happy to find them on Amazon so I could use Prime free shipping!

What happened? This is the third time I have ordered these filters from Accumulair. The ones I just received are totally different from my previous two orders. These are flimsy, and the cardboard frame barely holds it together. As my picture shows, the previous filter (on the right) has the grid on both sides, adding needed support to the filter. These new ones only have the grid on one side, and the filter fabric bows out on the other side. They are so flimsy that I worry that the fabric could pull away from the cardboard frame while in use. These are comparable to the cheapest filters you can buy at Walmart, but the price is not cheap. Since I opened one box, I can only return the second unopened box. I will not be ordering these again.

These are the only furnace filters that don’t collapse in our high efficiency furnace. Feel like I’m finally catching all the bad stuff that comes in the house. The expensive ones that I bought at the big box store couldn’t handle the air flow and collapsed.

Last year we upgraded our fairly new Trane central heat/air system with a UV light and a filter that is about 6 inches thick and expensive as all get out to replace. We were told to remove the old 1 inch filters from the air intakes, as the larger filter would handle it all. Well, since we have 4 dogs in the house, the big filter that was supposed to be changed every 18 months or so lasted only 7 months and it was totally clogged. I found out when I noticed that I couldn't see the wierd blue light through the intake grates anymore.After changing the large, expensive filter, I bought these 10x30x1 (9.75 x 29.75) Accumulair Emerald Filter (MERV 6) (4 Pack) filters to place in the 2 intakes to filter the dog hair and dust that gets kicked up off the floor and sucked into the air conditioner system. These are much cheaper to change every 2 to 3 weeks and keep our big filter cleaner for a long time.These MERV 6 filters do not hinder the high amount of air that our system needs to optimally operate. We are so pleased with them. I would also add that Filters-Now is a fantastic seller, offering quick shipment and excellent service. You will never regret doing business with them. These are 8x24x1A filters and they fit fine in my new return air filter grille... maybe a little tight, but that's better than loose. The only problem I have is that these were "bulk packaged" (photo). They came in a plain brown box and they were packaged without any inserts nor identifying marks other than size and airflow arrows. (I'm old-school and like to know that the product I ordered is the product I received.) These filters do appear sturdy and effective so I hope they will perform as I expect them to. Will update in 3 months when I swap-out.

I ordered the 20x40 filters. What I got was 4 filters without labels or packaging. They are of very poor quality. The biggest rub of all is the fact they are just 2 20x20 filters glued together. NOT WHAT I ORDERED. If I wanted that I could have saved money and ordered a bunch of cheap 20x20 and taped them together.

I was looking for the filter fit my house for time, from most of the big brand, not easy to get the proper size. This one is coming with the accurate size as it stated. The only concern, it looks and feels a little bit thin and soft, can not sure the performance. And all pieces are in one plastic, after opening and get one out, all others are in open status, have to seal the whole box again by yourself. But in general, glad to get the size I want.
