IBM Lenovo Preferred Pro USB Wired Computer Keyboard 54Y9400 Model KU-0225

I have bought a bunch of used ones, from thrift shops. Good classy looking, wired keyboard, that's all I really want.I game just fine with this bad boy! :)But got tired of dirty keyboards, so I bought this one, very fair cheap price.I just wish there was an easier way to keep these dust-free, dirt-free.Outside of that, really love this simple wired keyboard.

I have been satisfied with the IBM Lenova USB model SK 8825 for ease of use; however there are other IBM keyboards I've used that I liked better. I'm not sure if it is me or if there is a little less space between the keys but I've typed for years and seem to make more mistakes with the Lenova. I had been used to one of the other types and was a little disappointed I didn't feel as much at home with this one as with the others I had used in the past. It is a good product though. Just not what I was used to.

This is a great keyboard and a significant upgrade over the Dell and Logitech keyboards that I have used in the recent past. It has wonderful, light touch, and the spacing on the keys is just perfect for me. Strong and simple; I like a product that does the job it is supposed to do without adding a bunch of unnecessary features that just get in the way. I appreciate that the Lenovo has a good amount of heft to it so it stays in place when I bang on it. I really like this keyboard and will probably buy another just in case it goes obsolete.

UPDATE: Please be aware that while the SK-8825 is a great keyboard, this is in fact the relatively mediocre KU-0225. The best rule to remember with keyboards is "try before you buy".===================================================================================I've been digging around for a bargain keyboard, probably spent the equivalent of what it would cost for a really nice one. The thing is, though, that you don't always have $60 to toss down on a fancy "washable" or "super-ergo" keyboard. We use the Lenovo 8825 at work, and it's great.As a programmer, I need a keyboard that records all keystrokes accurately, a missed letter or unrecorded SHIFT can turn into an hour-long headache. Most $10 keyboards compromise your efficiency in some way. This one doesn't.It isn't feature rich, comes with only your standard keys. You don't get a "Media Playback" set of keys or any other luxuries. However, I can easily nail 80WPM, where with other keyboards at this price-point I struggle at about half that. Many get sticky keys with little action (spring), they feel cheap and slide around all over the desk.Weighing about as much as a can of soup, these things take a beating and sit still. The ones at work have been working for at least a year and a half with perhaps a %0.15 error rate. Number pads often get cheaped out on, but not here.Plenty of space for large hands, too.To be honest, if you are looking at a more expensieve keyboard than this one, you're paying only for luxury features like "quiet-keys" or wireless. This one has two settings, RAISED UP or FLAT DOWN.My fiance, when writing her book, needs a solid keyboard as well with high accuracy and plenty of action. So, unless you spill coffee on this thing or the seller ripped you off for a cheaper POS, this is what you want. If you can get a deal on it, the Lenovo 8825 easily competes with keyboards that are twice the price.A hardy, hardcore, heavy-use board that you won't regret. I give it five stars due to the price-point. I admit that I wouldn't pay $40 for this board. Then again, I'm a total cheapskate, got it on sale for $12 new.

This is a sturdy and reliable keyboard that is plug and play right out of the box. It is easy to type on for a small or large adult. It does have a separate keypad for numbers and indicator lights for num lock, caps lock, as well as some standard PC function keys. However, it is noisy. I work over telecomputing and the other party can often hear it. However, the firmness of the keys and stroke allows for fluent typing, more so thatn a flat "mac" type keyboard.

I like to feel the keys going down, because I can be a bit clumsy with really sensitive keyboards. Also i learned to type on a type writer so I feel reassured by the sound. I'm a writer so it's kind of soothing to me. The same way I prefer a piano to a keyboard. It's all preference.

This is the second of this keyboard that I've purchased. I love it so much that I got one for work and one for home. I tend to type a little more aggressive than the average person and this helps keep my typing a bit quieter.

If you want a keyboard with some mass, so it doesn't move around when you type, this is the one. Has the feel of an old IBM Selectric Typewriter. No, it's not wireless, but you can hammer this thing with impunity and get the results you want.

Got a defective product. Keys weren't wired properly, would type incorrectly... Had to return...
