Okay for a cheap dash cam but not without flaws.
First off my van occasionally has power issues with the cigarette lighter socket. To be fair some problems may be there. Currently I am driving long hours, so my needs and equipment stress are well above average. The good news is this takes a good quality video. Some complain the night time video is below par. I was surprised it worked as well as it did. I have it stuck to the windshield by the mirror. Most of the time it works well. Now for the bad. There is no manual or Website. There are a lot of settings here. It would run while parked so I set up parking detection. Now it shuts off when I'm driving sometimes and turns on when the road is bumpy. Seems this technology should work better. Occasionally this will lock up either in the off position or with an image frozen on screen. Holding the power button does not restart it. It must be unplugged 5-10 minutes to run the battery down. I've given up resetting the date time so if you want the correct time stamp I can't recommend it. I put a 32 GB card in it and it would fill up before my day was over. I switched to 720p. Being limited to 32 GB sucks. In conclusion I can only recommend this if you need one that is cheap, takes a decent quality video and only malfunctions a small percentage of the time. If you want a reliable dash cam look elsewhere. I'm looking for a better one and giving this to someone.

Very Disappointing
UPDATE #2: Updating to one star. I was putting my window shade on my front window and happened to bump the camera. It fell out of the mount hitting my dashboard, which has a dashcover, and half of the screen went black and cracked. It fell roughly 15 inches. I know people will say it is my fault, but I ensure you it did not fall far or hit the dashboard with much force. I have dropped my Note 4 further and harder, without a case, and it has yet to crack. I feel that becoming damaged after being "dropped" once from roughly a foot onto a padded surface is kind of pathetic. Save your money and avoid this cheap import garbage.UPDATE: After a couple months of use, this thing has become a huge disappointment. The battery bar indicates it is fully charged. However it will only stay powered on when plugged into a power source. It turns off after about 10 minutes and wont come back on unless plugged in again. Then it works fine...as long as you keep it plugged in. Also, it will occasionally say that no SD card is inserted when it clearly is. It has only happened a handful of times. But still, annoying. So what was seemingly a great deal for a good product has turned into a major disappointment. Purchase with caution! It is very simple to use. All the people complaining about the instructions being unclear must have not tried to use it beforehand. I didn't even look at the instructions and was able to figure out how to use it just fine. The video quality is good and the picture mode takes decent pictures. I mean it is a $30 dash cam. For what you pay, you get a good product. Not amazing, but good.

It's ok for the price
Well, it lasted about 6 months and appears to be dead. For most of the 6 months it worked pretty good. The owners manual could be a lot better. It may be fine if you're already familiar with dash cams and their features, but for newbies...not. It isn't easy getting the SD card in and out, even with fingernails. The field of view is pretty narrow. I witnessed an accident and thought it was caught on the cam, but when I reviewed the footing it was out of the field of view. I could never get the motion detector to work the way I wanted it to either. I kept it plugged in overnight while the car was parked, but instead of activating with motion it recorded all night. On a 32gb card at 1080p you will fill up a card in 1-2 days max. For the price I guess it's worth it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Nice video, but a bit flakey
When this thing works, it makes pretty nice, high-quality recordings. I'd say 'for the price it's not too bad'. Cons:- It constantly forgets the date; I'm guessing this is due to me not driving for a while and the internal battery draining so low that it can't keep track of time. After that all your timestamps are off.- Sometimes it freezes up and can't be turned off or reset except by unplugging it until it runs out of power, which takes several minutes. This seems to happen if you power it up and then unplug it right away. So avoid rapid power cycling.

Lots of problems, but the seller has reached out to me, so I'm giving it another chance.
I must have gotten a lemon, because mine is a piece of crap. It constantly freezes and is currently inoperable. If I let the battery drain completely sometimes it will work again for 5 minutes or so. I wasn't expecting much having spent 30 dollars, but I was definitely expecting more than this.I am amending my review because the seller has reached out to me. They are going to send another one, hopefully it will be better. But, even if it isn't, it's good to know they at least attempt to make things right.

Easy to setup
It is easy to set up and use, I like the bigger screen to see what is being recorded. However, the looping function doesn't work on mine. I have tried changing the looping time from 1 minute to 2 minutes to 3 minutes, and then back to 2 minutes. It just won't loop. That is really not a big deal because when the SD card is full the looping function deletes the oldest recording, now I just have to delete all of it at once, and that means deleting the recording that just happened. So if I needed that file then it would be gone also.
