C by GE A19 C-Life and C-Sleep Smart LED Light Bulb Combo by GE Lighting, 2-Pack, Works with Alexa

I've only tried the c-sleep bulb, but I absolutely love it. This is great for someone who wants a cheap lighting solution for one room. The schedules and color tones have really helped me get my sleep schedule on track. The app is pretty finicky and doesn't always work automatically, but I'm very happy with this system for the price

They work as regular bulbs but do not connect to the app. I've been going back and forth with GEs customer service and nothing has worked. I installed the app turned the bulbs on and the app couldn't find them. I reset the bulbs (got the confirmed 3 flashes), logged out of the app and back in, still didn't work, reset the bulbs again, uninstalled the app, reinstalled, still didn't work, no matter what I do the app cannot seem to find the bulbs. Disappointed is an understatement.Edit: now after months of wasted time trying to get these to work the company has shipped me another 4 bulbs that worked for one day and now won't connect. They wouldn't even issue a refund. These are awful and inefficiency of the customer service department is worse. I'll never buy from this company again.

Works as advertised using the smart phone app. I like these because they are adjustable/ dimmable. I have the Life bulb in our family room and I can use the app to adjust the light from 1 to 10. Turn it up when we need it and dial it down to 2 while watching TV. I have the Sleep bulb in a bedroom overhead lamp. The three settings are AM, Day and Sleep. AM is like a clean soft white light, Day is a bit warmer more like sunshine and PM is a dimmer yellow, perfect for just enough light while in the bedroom at night.

This is a difficult review to write. In many ways, these bulbs do just what they are supposed to. They are LED bulbs that are very energy efficient will last nearly forever. They have Bluetooth connectivity so that you can control them from your phone or tablet via a free app that GE provides.This app and the Bluetooth connectivity are the Achilles heel though. Without the app, these are just regular bulbs. So you really need the app (and your phone or tablet) to use these bulbs as intended. The app itself takes a while to load, which can be frustrating when you just want turn the light on or off. I also found that the app logged me out if I switched devices, requiring that I wait for the app to load, log back in, connect with the bulb, THEN power it on or off.As to the Bluetooth connectivity. It was inconsistent (as Bluetooth so often is). For one bulb, I finally had to look up how to "reset" it (a tedious process) before it would connect again.The package includes two bulbs - one for the office or other "generic" space and the other for the bedroom. The generic bulb is, frankly, not particularly interesting. It turns on and off, provides standard, bluish illumination and that's it. You CAN set it's brightness, which is fairly useful.The bedroom bulb shows off much more of the full potential of the concept behind these bulbs. You can set its brightness, as with the generic bulb. AND you can set its temperature - the color of the light it emits. This is similar to the "night" mode on newer iPhones and Android devices where the light cast is warmer and better suited to helping your eyes prepare for sleep.Moreover, you can program this light as a wake up light where it comes on at its dimmest setting and brightens over 10 minutes to whatever level you set for it. I've used wake up lights like this in the past and was excited to try this option.Alas, the lowest setting is still pretty bright. I woke up instantly when it came on at "1" illumination. And it uses the blue "day" light which is jarring - I would have preferred the warm light at dimmest then a gradual shift to blue light as it brightened.Should you buy these? I love the bedroom bulb despite its limitations. And I hope that through upgrades it might work better as a wake up light. Even without that, it is a great late night light. The other bulb was fine, but it frustrated me to not be able to adjust it as much as the bedroom light. The app works, but is slow and Bluetooth is, as always, a bit dodgy. So at the current price, I can't really recommend this package. But if you can find the Bedroom light on its own and are interested in a warm, dimmable bulb, I recommend getting just that.

It's having a hard time doing a factory reset 😣

I don't have a problem flipping on light switches but I thought I would try these for the fun of it. They work well with my Google Home that I received as a promotion gift from a utility company I signed up to do business with. Until I got these bulbs I was just just using the Google Home to operate my Nest Thermostat. Now that's a great product.

These bulbs are cheap and work ok. The app interface is lacklustre and not the greatest to use. The bulb reset process is just that a process that consists of an annoying sequence of turning the bulb on waiting a couple seconds then turning it back off for a few seconds and repeating this multiple times. The google home integration is almost non existent. When using google home the bulb response takes a considerable amount of time. The sleep functionality also does not work like advertised.
