Good 4043 rod so far. acetone wipe and scotchbrite them before you use if you need a super clean weld
For my small-time repairs of 7" thin wall ally vacuum pipe/nozzles and other things, these have worked well. If you have 1/16 and 3/32 you can take on a lot of common aluminum repairs. They have a slight smut on them from the drawing process so I'd recommend giving them a good wipe and using a little acetone. They clean up really well. I do this out of habit with ally rods anyhow to avoid contamination screwing up a weld. Remember aluminum in general likes to be clean and tidy for good welding. As far as flow and the actual welding, I have no issues with them.As far as strength and mechanical properties, well it's stronger than the base material I've been working with in many cases. I've used it for reinforcement beads, wear edge build up, and crack repair on a lot of thin wall ally pipe. I've used it on a few other things without anything special to note. Just makes a good solid weld if you do your part.

OK FOR SMALL HOLES
I purchased these to repair old aluminum irrigation pipe. It fills small holes and cracks but anything larger is problematic and the repair will not take the water pressure. OK if you want to fix a beer can but not good for larger gauge stuff.

Good price
Seem to be fairly dirty. Make sure you clean them with acetone and even some scotch brute before using. Good habit to get into and they will work well
