Red Carpet Studios Red Plaid Hunter Cap Hat Bird House

I sent this bird house to my dad for his birthday which happens to coincide with Father's Day. He has always hunted and fished, and enjoys spending time on his property in Western Wisconsin. His father had recently passed and the design of this bird house reminded me of photos I had seen of my grandfather in his hunting garb. My dad really seemed to enjoy the gift and proudly hung it on a tree on his property. I think it not only makes a nice conversation piece, but holds an air of nostalgia for me and also, coincidentally, attracts feathered wildlife. I think it is a really great idea for any outdoors enthusiast who might be otherwise hard to shop for!

I purchased this birdhouse a while ago and let me tell you, it is absolutely adorable. That, however, is its only positive feature.It's made of resin, which makes it lightweight (and easy to mount) but also very brittle and prone to fading, especially when placed in a part- or full-sun location.In all the years I've had this birdhouse (a little over 6 years), I have never had a single bid set up house in the birdhouse.This company makes several other designs and I, sucker that I am for unique things, purchased 5 of their birdhouses in total. The birds have shunned every one of them and each one is faded and looking pitiful. Now, you may say 'Six years! That's not too bad for a birdhouse!' and you would be correct, except that the fading was significant even by the second year (mounted on a fence in the shady backyard), so there's no excuse!It is my opinion that the money could be spent on better and more durable birdhouses, unless you're in love specifically with this particular design.After this disappointment, I began purchasing ceramic birdhouses and I find that they get used year after year, with no signs of aging.

i haven't opened it yet as it's a xmas gift for my daughter...so i can't write a review yet...after xmas i can do that as she will let me know how it is...thanks

I searched for flannel hats for a Halloween costume & this bird house came up! I didn't read the description well enough because now I'm stuck with bird houses! Why would it even show up in the search when I'm searching for hats you wear?

We thought this was a real hat.....there is a hat that is called a birdhouse style.....did not even know it was a real birdhouse

Gave this as a gift a few years ago, this looks like the REAL thing when its in on a side of a tree. The gift person has told me this has fooled alot of people..haha!!
