CaldwellLead Sled Weight Bag with Durable Construction and Water Resistance for Outdoor, Range, Shooting and Hunting

I've had a couple 25lb canvas bags of lead shot for about 20 years and I'd use them at the range every year with my old Lead Sled when I'd sight in my scopes for hunting season. The canvas was getting a little threadbare, though, and I did NOT want to clean up the mess when the canvas broke! When these bags arrived I was a little disappointed as they just didn't look large enough. To my great surprise, though, I tried dropping an old bag into the new one and it went in like a pillow into a tight pillow case! They both fit perfectly and now I don't have to worry about picking up lead shot from everywhere! I love the carry handles and the secure closures. Rock solid, great product!

The shooting rest is mounted to a 24x30 inch sheet of 3/4" plywood, the side of the plywood toward the bench is painted with a rubberized anti-skid paint. Well made works as it should great value for the money

The bags look nice and are made very sturdy. They fit under the sled as well as you fill them. The zippers do not close tight enough for keeping lead shot it if not in another bag inside the bag. That is what I did. I had watched some YouTube videos prior to purchase that showed this small problem. So, I have partially loaded 25-pound shot bags in my bags. Making sure that I have the ends well closed on the shot bags. I am pretty satisfied with what I have. They are not cheap, but they are not overpriced either. I just want to let people know that it's better to have something inside the bag securing whatever you put in it or it will leak out.

I've heard about zipper problems but have not experienced them. The lining of these bags is rubbery so if they were filled with sand, lead, steel shot, or anything else, you would not be getting any dust leaking out of them. This would be a health problem with lead, so that would be a consideration for me. I'm using steel shot pellets.

Perfect. Works great. They would leak sand at first. But I put the sand in zip lock bags before putting them into the sand bags and haven’t had any other issues.
