Farewell, Neutrogena Oil-Eliminating; Hello, Clean & Clear
Just wanted to leave a final five-star review for my favorite facial cleanser. I used the Neutrogena Oil-Eliminating Cleanser consistently for at least eight years. I have loved it so much. It leaves your face squeaky clean yet soft. And it truly eliminates the oils so effectively. I’ve tried the “Oil Free” cleansers from Neutrogena and I’m frustrated every time. Gotta have my “Oil Eliminating.”Until it was discontinued. I knew this day was coming at some point. It was just too challenging to find. But I’m still sad and will mourn the loss of my favorite cleanser.About a week or so ago, I set out to find an adequate alternative. And I’ve found a pretty decent one! Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Cleanser, Step 1. It leaves my skin feeling just about as oil free as the Oil Eliminating did. Like, that specific squeaky clean. It does have a stronger smell and doesn’t have the softness of the cream cleanser did, but as far as results, it does the job for me. And I got used to the smell (not bad, just strong at first).A tip: I think face washes that have acne medication in them are just not going to give you that squeaky, oil-free feeling like Neutrogena Oil-Eliminating did. That’s what I’ve found so far. They’re trying to get the acne medication into your skin, so they aren’t clearing the oil as well. My preference is to have any acne medication be in my moisturizer, so the Clean & Clear product works pretty well for me as a follow-up to the Neutrogena product because neither of them have acne medication in the wash. Their sole intent is to clear the skin of oil, which they achieve nicely. So, a fond farewell to my favorite face wash. I’ll treasure my remaining tube for special occasions and cross my fingers that it’ll return someday. RIP Neutrogena Oil-Eliminating. I’ll miss you.

Excellent oil-control face wash!!!
I've had very oily skin on my face since I was a teenage. As an adult now, this has been the BEST product on the market I've found and I've tried all kinds of products to control the oil on my face (believe me you don't want to know how many). I place some in the palm of my hand and apply on my face in the shower in the morning and wash off with a washcloth / rinse off further with the shower water. Use just a little. You don't need a lot (about the same amount as the toothpaste you use on your toothbrush). Then, I use it again in the evening before bed and before I apply a mild acne treatment (2.5 percent Benzoyl Peroxide - Neutrogena On-the-Spot acne treatment). This has managed to keep my skin looking the best overall. Now keep in mind, this is not a face wash for people that do NOT have oily skin or are prone to having their skin dry out normally by washing their face with just a mild soap (but this is just my opinion). This is more like an "Oil Control" face wash for people with oily skin like me. Also, remember that nothing will keep your face oil-free all day long for those of us with very oily skin our faces. Oil glands in our faces are working all the time, so you may need to facial tissue to wipe off excess oil during the day.I have sensitive skin, live in a dry climate, and I haven't found it to be a very mild face wash. However, everyone is different, so you have to experiment with what works for you. This product definitely works for me and I'm glad Neutrogena sells this product! I'm a loyal customer and will continue to buy it as long as they make it.PS - You may find a better price in your local grocery store, Walgreens, or even Walmart is selling it for around $7.50 as of December 2014. Just shop around and look on-line for the best price as I wouldn't pay around $10 a bottle for the product unless I had too.

Great Cleansing Product!
This is a really great cleanser and make up remover wash, in top of that, it really helps with my acne! Now, I had a acne for a while now and I can't seem to stop more breakouts, so I tried this one. I'm really happy with the results you can say in reasons because it really cleans thoroughly. My skin always feels so refreshed and clean also, I had a pimple breakouts is such a common to me that when it showed, I used this for 2 days (Day and Night regimen) my pimple easily dried off and was healed in a flash! It doesn't really help fade my old acne's away but it helps stop the new ones that comes or stop it from getting worse. Very worth the price!

Works Well
I have always had oily skin since I was a teenager. The face shine can be annoying but it does help keep your skin looking young as you grow old. This stuff does a nice job of reducing that shine. I just use it in the morning after my shower. Just a dab is all you need.

wish this great face cleaner be back to production?
I used this product for many years everyday and it is a real life-saver for my oil face. Unfortunately, it discontinued in 2020 and I have to find a replacement. I tried several brands and finanlly find two as below. However, I missed a lot about this product and wish it can be back some-day.1. The one from L'Oreal has almost the same oil removing effect and easy to clean-up. The only concern is that it is black and will make your face towel going dark. So normally I will only use when shower.Mens Face Wash, Beard and Skincare for Men, L'Oreal Paris Skincare Men Expert Hydra Energetic Facial Cleanser with Charcoal for Daily Face Washing, 5 fl; Oz. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01648QH8U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=12. The one from Cetaphil also has a very strong oil removing effect and also easy to clean-up. Since it is clear color, I now used it every day. However, its foaming is very little and not feel so good (enjoyble) during the usage compared to this Neutrogena one. And I do concern the oil clean from Cetaphil might be too strong to harm my face. However, after several months usage, it seems no problem so far.Cetaphil Facial Cleanser, Daily Face Wash for Normal to Oily Skin, 16Oz Basic 32 Fl Ozhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ET79H8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
