I've seen some poor reviews for these runners, don't believe them, yes they are cheap and yes they do have nylon runners but what do you expect at this price, they hold a keyboard and mouse they take the weight that is needed to press down keys or move the mouse your not going to sit on the shelf you've made are you ? For goodness sake this is ideal for what it does, you are not paying silly prices and these runners do the job with no problem.I would certainly buy them again

Seeing the prices of ready-made roll-out keyboard trays being so high, this cheap bit of kit seemed a great option. True enough, it's meant I have a custom built keyboard tray (much bigger than other pre-made ones) at a fraction of the cost. I cut down a bit of MDF to size and used euro screws to attach the casters to it. You need a bit of DIY know-how to get the rest fixed into place properly, in particular working out where the holes go for the brackets that attach to the underside of the desk, but if you get it right it's well worth it.

They are not identical. One side the roller is captive inside a rail. The other just sits on the rail and relies on being pushed into place. Your carpentry needs to be more precise than mine to avoid the runner falling out. Note you can’t change the height of the shelf but I mounted wooden slats first to support the platform at the height I required. OK for the short term bodge I needed but worth spending a little more for more flexibility and build quality.

The old runners on our under desk computer keyboard shelf broke and I needed a replacement. Our old one was purpose made for built in office furniture so I was unclear if this would do the job. Its was bit fiddly getting the new runners parallel and the right spacing but I got there. These runners are 10 cm longer than the ones being replaced but although that meant an under-desk overhang, from the front and in practice it didn't matter. I couldn't find a shorter option anyway. Only beef is these come with no screws, but I used the old ones anyway so not a problem in my case.
