I want to put a microphone inside my helmet, would this reduce the wind sound in my recording?

Yes. It will help alot. I have a mic in my helmet, after installing the wind jammer no one could tell I was driving while talking on the phone.

How does the Windjammer fit the Schuberth C3W flip open helmet? I wear a women's small.

I tried to use the WJ on a Schuberth E1 and it would not work. You need to open the helmet to put it on. You would need to put the WJ around your neck, remove the tape on it exposing the sticky part, put on the helmet, close the face of the helmet, attach the WJ to the helmet without seeing the WJ. Then reverse when you remove the helmet. My conclusion: The WJ is a good idea, but not for modular helmets. Regarding another response: You can't give up the flip-up function of a modular Schuberth helmet, because you have to flip it open to get it on or off.

Can I use this with long hair? I have long dreadlocks and wonder how useful this would be at keeping airflow from getting int to back of my helmet.

If you have dreadlocks and or long hair at my pool a little bit on her hair however it will still create a seal on a nice summer day the Windjammer works very well anything below 50° your visor will fog up lack of air flow

If using a cardo packtalk slim it looks like would need to cut slots between the adhesive and neck area to mount the unit & battery. anyone do this?

its actually very snug around your neck and, yes you will have to (cut quite a bit) and strings go all over un-winding
