Great saw
Nice bandsaw. I have used daily since I installing a month ago. Using mostly for bowl blanks. Cuts through the thickest of wood with no effort. Dust collection works well. Did receive without documentation, but Rikon had online.

Fast shipping. Great Saw.
It shipped 2 or 3 days after I ordered. It shipped on Tuesday and delivered on Thursday. The driver dropped it right outside my shop door. The only caveat is that I wasn't contacted to schedule delivery. I just happened to call the carrier to inquire and was told it was out for delivery. I had to leave work and rush home and the driver showed up an hour later. He told me that it was set up as a no-signature delivery which is why I wasn't contacted. So if I hadn't called, they would have set a $1600 saw in my driveway and left without me knowing it was there. That's a little disconcerting. The saw is pretty simple to set up. The directions aren't great, but there are plenty of YouTube videos and you are basically only assembling the base, the table and the knobs and handles. It took about 4 hours from driveway to making first cuts. You'll want to make sure you have a helper. I attached the base while it was laying down, but I also put it on a mobile base. It takes 2 people to lift the saw, and it still required using blocking.About half the set up is making all the adjustments. Squaring the table and fence, adjusting guides, tracking, etc. If you are already familiar with bandsaws you will find this to be a breeze on this saw. I primarily do re-sawing and only use Olson blades, but I left the factory installed blade on the machine for now. I grabbed a 10 inch diameter 2 year air dried white oak log from my wood pile and cut it in half. Saw cut through it like butter. Finish was smooth. Hardly any detectable kerf marks. I also cut a walnut log. Same result.I've only set it up and made a dozen or so test cuts, so I can't speak to things like durability, but right out of the box I couldn't be happier with this purchase. This machine cost 5x as much as the WEN 10" bandsaw and performs 20X better. This is a no-brainer.

Outstanding addition to shop
After coming from a Wen 10" this is another world. It came well packed and with I felt good, not great, but good instructions. Set up is easy and changing the blade is a 3 min process. Only thing I did not realize was it will not take a blade smaller than 3/16.

Best option at this size/price point.
The saw is pretty good. The fence arrived with some damage, but I was able to call Rikon and get a new one sent to me fairly easily. It also arrived with some damage, but it was minor enough that I decided to keep it.Also, the blue sheet metal components had some grease / solvent on them from manufacturing, leaving handprints from the factory, drips, runs, etc. Each sheet of blue sheet metal had to be decreased and washed off by hand. Huge PITA. Some of the blue finish came off on the cleaning rags, but fortunately you can't tell on the pieces themselves. Also, the cast iron table was a paint to clean off. It ended up flash rusting while I was cleaning it (walked a way to get dinner, came back and there were rust spots). Was never able to get that rust to go away 100%.

Great saw, great Rikon support
This is a great bandsaw. Rikon support is even better. Mine was dropped during shipping which damaged the motor housing. Called Rikon and they shipped out a new motor that day. Just did some resawing on a bunch of walnut up to 12” wide. The motor handled it with no problems.

Rikon Warranty - bandsaw defect is now unusable, $1700 paperweight
The media could not be loaded. The vendor delivered a working bandsaw - no complaints, would buy from them again.Have had the bandsaw since the end of April 2023, and it was working well, consistent with reviews. At the beginning of December I wanted to use it and noticed a small piece of metal lying on the floor. Turned out that the motor housing had cracked. Sent an email to Rikon warranty on Dec 6th describing the failure. Phil replied on the 8th and asked if I had dropped the machine (no, and not possible in my very small shop!). Sent some more pictures and also made the point that the casing is not flat in a way that would put strain on the coupling to the motor. If you look at the short video you will see that it is clearly distorted in a way that is consistent with the failure of the housing. Just took a while to actually separate. If I had dinged the motor sufficiently to cause such a distortion of the bandsaw casing the motor housing would certainly be damaged. You can see from the picture that it looks like brand new.Did not get any more responses from Rikon, and so on December 19 I called Phil. He just repeated the assertion that I had dropped the bandsaw, and when I pushed back said it would be up to the president of the company. Well, her we are on January 3rd. Nothing. So, the bandsaw performs but if you have a warranty issue you are left with a $1700 + in my case additional $120 mobile base. Want to risk this?

Best bandsaw for the money
I've had the opportunity to use a lot of different bandsaws in my life. Before deciding what saw to buy myself, I spent some time testing different saws ranging from cheap to some that cost more than double this Rikon. This bandsaw cannot be beat for the money, and I really don't think that any saw under $2500 will outperform this one.The saw saw easy to put together (two people will make it easier, but it was doable with one). I put it on a Wen universal mobile tool base. The blade tension/ tracking/ etc was pretty much perfect as delivered.I can only think of one think that I wish was different, and I think it might specific to the saw I got, and not the norm for these. The locking lever for the table tilt (#50A) is significantly higher/ more parallel to the table than shown in the diagrams and higher than I would expect. I wish I could adjust it to be more perpendicular to the table when locked and not come up as high when unlocked. I'll do some googling to see if adjustment is possible.Overall, you can't beat this saw for the price, or even for almost double the price.
