will the water flow through the pump if its not running?

Yes it will, I've tested it. I have two installed in the same computer cooling system on different electrical circuits so if one circuit goes out there's still one pump running.

The diameter is 45mm length is 60mm, not including intake connection

can I run this direct from a 12V power supply or battery of does it require the MB?

Yes, you can run it direct from the 12v power supply and bypass the motherboard. Most power supplies have extra leads coming out of them for accessories.

Do you have one with a bracket?

Yes i do. But I took the bracket off
