My 88 year old mother is FINALLY HAPPY!!!
Here is my feelings about this chair. I bought it for my 5' 3" mother who is 88 years old and 140 pounds. A year and a half ago she fell and broke her shoulder and has been in pain ever since. She or I have bought 7 brand new chairs in furniture stores (2 returned) ranging from 600 TO 900 dollars and 4 used ones from habitat for humanity. They felt ok and nothing great and nothing fit her well. 2 of those new chairs she cut up trying to make it fit her and those finally went to the dump. 3 of those new chairs were also lift chairs as well. NO furniture store carried anything for a small person, they were either to overstuffed, to big or to soft after sitting for awhile and getting up she would rock back and forth seemed like forever trying to get up. She gave up, simple as that trying to find something. NOW to this wonderful chair FIRST time in her little size life she has a chair that fits her like a glove. Now I want to point out it's arms are kinda flimsy as they side into place, it's just the way the metal brackets are made and screwed onto the chair. They wont break off or fall apart unless you just want to break it. VERY easy to put together, everything just slides into place. There are 2 little stabilizer brackets that bolts on the back bottom of the chair frame and has wing nuts to tighten. Wires are just plug into each other, a monkey can do it. It not really heavy like those bigger lift chairs so moving it away is pretty easy. NOW please remember this chair is made for smaller people, NOT made for someone over 5' 6" and over 175 pounds, if you are your body isn't going to fit well. The chair sits somewhat on the firm side and doesn't sink down so its easy to get out of and the vinyl (it says leather but it's vinyl) seat your butt will slide like leather will but you will sweat some of your house is warm. She says its extremely comfortable and can sitor sleep for a few hours and get up easy. She sleeps well in it too with feet up or down. She hasn't used the lift part yet as its so easy to get out of but it's there in case she does so its peace of mind for me. The massaging part works pretty good and heat is just in the back. With all that said SHE would rate it a 9 out of 10. it's not a cloud to sit on but its damn near perfect for her and I don't have to hear it and her complaining so it's a WIN/WIN. and the cost was like 395 dollars with sales tax so WOW can't beat it at least for her.

Great chair and very comfortable!
I had hip surgery and these chair has been such a blessing! I would recommend this to anyone who has difficulty getting out of chairs. It’s nice that I can put the heat on while I have my ice machine on my hip. The massage isn’t the best and is loud but I didn’t buy it for the massage. It was super easy to put together and even though it’s faux leather it looks great! It’s a great buy and I’ve suggested this to my parents for later on and my grandparents. It’s just a really nice chair. It also goes very far back, almost flat to it’s nice to nap in and the cup holders on each side and side pockets come in handy!

Reasonably priced chair and did its job
My husband and I bought this chair since I was having spinal surgery. I needed to have a chair that was going to be able to help me stand up from a seated position. My surgeon also said most people after spinal surgery choose to sleep in a recliner rather than a bed.First off, my surgeon was completely correct and I slept in the recliner and on my couch for the first 2 to 3 weeks after surgery. Secondly, the chair did its job since I needed help standing up and sitting down. The mechanical functions of the chair worked perfectly, and it was definitely a smart purchase after surgery.I only had two real problems with this chair, one it's a little narrow in the seat itself. The length of the foot rest is a little short for my legs. Mind you, I'm only 5'6" and my husband is 6'. His feet dangle off of the foot rest.Otherwise, the chair is fairly comfortable. We haven't used the massage part much nor have we used the heat. Both functions work, but it's just not something we feel the need to use on a regular basis.

Electronics are poorly engineered?
I am currently working with the seller to resolve this situation...Background - I ordered this item for my elderly mom who can barely walk. She sleeps in the recliner @ night. It's quite comfortable. However, the unit malfunctioned and the seller sent a new back & it worked for a while. One month ago, the hand-held controller began to short circuit. Yesterday, a high-voltage short circuit occurred where the cable enters the handheld controller. It burned my mom's wrist. Now the recliner is useless. How can I order a new handheld controller? See attached pictures.

Great chair, great customer service!
My father is full time care giver to my grandparents and he had me get one of these chairs for my grandpa. My grandma started to want to sit in it all the time so my dad had me get one for her. A short time later, both controllers for the heat and massage stopped working. The customer service was great and the seller very quickly sent him replacement controllers. My grandparents LOVE the chairs. My dad had me buy another one recently for my grandma to start sleeping in because she has too hard of a time getting out of her bed. The controller on the third chair stopped working but once again, the customer service was quick to respond and fix problems. My dad has now purchased three chairs because of how much my grandparents love them and how good they are, even with the controller malfunctions. Because my grandparents sometimes stay with my aunt, she has purchased two of the chairs for my grandparents at her house. She has not had malfunctioning controllers as of yet, but despite that happening, our family has bought five of these chairs. I would definitely recommend for elderly who have a hard time getting up and down out of chairs. They are also easy to clean which my dad also needed to help with the care of my elderly grandparents.
