Bonsoir lune

This book has been in my kids' library since they were born over 50 years ago. Recently, friends had a baby and I wanted them to have this same book but they are French-speaking parents so when I found it on Amazon I was thrilled to be able to give it to them for Christmas for their new little baby boy.

Nous aimons beaucoup l’histoire et les illustrations de ce livre mais, malheureusement, la traduction est mauvaise. D’abord quel enfant dit et comprend l’expression “bonsoir”? ça aurait très bien bien pu être “Bonne nuit lune” parce que les enfants comprennent le concept jour/nuit et c’est souvent l’expression qu’on leur apprend en premier. Ça enlève du charme à l’histoire.

Si vous cherchez un livre en français pour votre enfant...ce n'est pas celui-ci! La traduction est absolument horrible, rien ne rime et le rythme a complètement été perdu.
