3M Marine Ultra Performance Paste Wax (09030) – For Boats and RVs – 9.5 Ounces

I have been using 3M's Ultra Performance Marine wax on all my vehicles, including my John Deere lawn tractor and my Ford -New Holland tractor for many years. It goes on easy and will bead water on my cars for 3 years. And the finish on my vehicles look better and better each time I apply it. My 1996 Toyota 4-Runner looks better than the day it was purchased new. It's not cheap wax, but one can will wax a vehicle at least 4 or 5 times and last for years if stored properly. It's the only wax I'll ever use as long as 3M continues to make it. By the way, it also works on boats, being that it is a marine wax.

This is the best wax I've ever used. I definitely recommend it, my second can!Just one suggestion, you may need to pretreat the surface before you apply this wax to get best results. Of course, clean the area. But you may also need to use a wax/cleaner (liquid wax) to get the chalkiness off the fiberglass, especially if the boat has been left in the sun for a while.Also, I had to use rubbing compound to get some really intense water spots off the colored areas of the fiberglass. Doing this isn't really necessary, but the results will show.

This is the best wax I have every found and I have used a lot of different brands before trying this and I have never tried any since.It can't be beat and if you think it is too expensive then you must consider the length of time it lasts, for we have had it last all winter long, even if we run out vehicles thru a car wash, the wax is still there and still beading up.I LOVE IT, and won't buy any other kind.You never go wrong with this wax, and you will be surprised at how well it applies and wipes off. It looks great on a new car, or an old one, it still makes your car very shiny.Try it you will never look back at all the others, even if they are cheaper, they are not better.You do get what you pay for sometimes, this is one purchase you realize that is true in this purchase.

This product was used to wax the hull and topside gelcoat surfaces of my 27' sailboat prior to placing the boat in the water this Spring. The wax went on very easily and buffed off just as easily. It left a nice even high gloss finish, which is suppose to be long lasting. Time will tell on this last part.

I'm hull is very clean so I did a light cut compound followed with this stuff. Hull is perfect and it even has a ultra smooth silky feel. This stuff is not cheap and it takes a fair amount of work but the results are very satisfying

Don't let the name brand fool you into thinking that you are paying too much for a top name brand. If you value your arms elbows and wrists (and your friends who are helping you wax your boat) you need to use this rather than make the huge mistake of using cheaper wax that takes an orangutan to remove. This stuff goes on easier than a duck on a peanut and comes off easier than peanut on a duck. You will feel like Mr Miyagi... wax on...wax off. The shine is great and it's easier to apply and finish than any other wax I tried. What use to take hours now takes ... uh, fewer hours. Cause it's still waxing a boat, so lets just say it makes a big suck a much littler suck.

I contacted 3M for a refund. The product, when you can buff it off cleanly leaves a brilliant finish. The finish is really shiny and beautiful when it works. However, we had extreme difficulty getting it to buff off in numerous places.. Tried reapplying 3M compound/wax combination (which was used prior to waxing with this product)to get it to compound out the finish again even though the finish looked good. But, this wax still was extremely hard to do in numerous places on our boat. 3M had no idea why and they asked us to return the product. I am currently awaiting their response. I, personally, think it has something to do with the humidity here. I live on the gulf coast and humidity is really high.

Great product. Took an oxidized dull looking boat that was left sitting for years without much care and completely rejuvenated it! (also used 3M Rubbing Compound and 3M Finesse It II to get the results). Boat was dull, had scratched and faded gelcoat - after using the rubbing compound and the finesse-it II, the Ultra Performance Paste Wax really got the gel coat back to its original great shine, and will continue to protect it. Made the boat look like it was new again. It took maybe 1/10 of the wax to do the entire outside of a 22 ft regal boat, so one purchase will last you through many applications. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Highly recommend this product and most 3M products for any marine application.
