They keep my feet cool in summer and provide some warmth when wearing sandals ...
I originally ordered these liners last summer to wear while hiking in order to prevent blisters which have been a consistent problem for me. During the past 9 months I have hiked more than 500 miles, about half on developed trails and half on rough mountain trails. I have not had a single blister, which in itself is a testament to the effectiveness of these liners. When hiking, I use the liners under Darn Tough boot socks. In addition, I found the liners work well on their own with my Keen Newport and Arroyo sandals. They keep my feet cool in summer and provide some warmth when wearing sandals in fall and spring. The four pair of liners I purchased have held-up well to 9 months of daily use. To date none of them have worn through or required replacement.

Good socks for ice skating
I wear these with hockey skates as a sock. I'm a size 8/8.5 and purchased a medium. These fit fairly snug. I've worn them several times and they've protected my feet well. They wick moisture away. I haven't gotten any blisters, including where the side of my big toe brushes the toe cap significantly. I've washed the socks after each wearing and they're holding up well. They look like new. I've had them for about 2 months. I only wear these while skating and they are in rotation with several other pairs of socks. I will purchase more of these when any of the socks in rotation begin falling apart.

Finally listened to a friend's recommendation - great choice
I used to work at a bike shop, and one of my colleagues sung the praises of Bridgedale socks - he had worked at a running store for a long time. I finally got around to trying them several years later, and I wish I had listened to him back then!First, sizing. I have 10.5 EEEEEE feet, so sometimes sock width is a bit of an issue. I ordered these in large, and they're a great fit. I don't have to struggle getting my fat forefoot into the sock, and the cuff is not too tight on my meaty lower calf. The material is very comfortable and makes for a great hiking liner. Though some of the other reviews mention wearing this as a sock, I find the Bridgedale hiking socks a perfect match and haven't tried this liner by itself.

Nice socks!
I purchases these liner socks for hiking. I've never used liners before -- always just wore one pair of socks but decided to try these as a liner. I wore them on rather long, strenuous hikes in the Shenandoah area. They wicked the moisture and they were very comfortable, even with another sock. They washed up nicely. I didn't dry in the dryer, I let them dry naturally. I haven't worn them after washing yet.

Thin socks... Poor value for me.
I find nothing special with these, whether used as liners or standalone. I wore them once as standalone socks, in very breathable "hiking" sandles, for a day hike around city environment and afterward they smelled terrible... Wore again as liners under wool socks on 8 mile strenuous hike and smelled terrible... Oddly, the thick wool socks didn't smell. I've hiked/backpacked (typically 60+ miles/week) comfortably with wool socks and only bought these because I've read that many folks prefer liners. They're not for me. I'm giving them three stars because I find them to simply be an overpriced (2) pair of thin socks--nothing more or less. Happy trails!

Liners for hiking socks
The socks work well as liners for hiking socks to wick away sweat and prevent blisters. Keep perspiring feet cool and dry (for the most part)

Very nice lightweight sock that is listed as a "liner" but that I use as a regular sock
Very nice lightweight sock that is listed as a "liner" but that I use as a regular sock. It is very breathable, and is reinforced in the heel and toe at the points of maximum wear to provide extra durability.I also own the Fox River liner socks which are less expensive but also don't last as long with heavy use. Fox River Wick Dry CoolMax Liner Sock, White, Large (Men's 9-12, Women's 10-13) Pack of 3 Pairs .I'vve used both socks for over a year and it's a toss-up so I just keep buying both..

Comfy, Soft Liners to Prevent Blisters
I am preparing for a 10-day walking trip in Iceland & my Mentee, who is a serious hiker, recommended liners to me. I used them a long time ago in Europe & forgot about them.I find this to feel soft and comfortable plus they are designed to wick moisture to prevent blisters & chaffing. I am wearing them around the Hood with Smart Wool socks and so far so good. Time will tell!

They walk miles
I have bought before and they are very comfortable, I use them alone, they don't crinkle and wear well. I buy them because they are thinner but strong.

Snug liner socks
Can’t go wrong with these. Good fit, well made, and perfect as an everyday or work liner sock, especially if you wear safety boots and boot socks.

Warm without being bulky
The sock is less than calf length and not much use if tucking trousers in to keep ticks out, but it is comfortable to walk in.
